44:15 이스라엘 족속이 그릇 행하여 나를 떠날 때에 사독의 자손 레위 사람 제사장들은 내 성소의 직분을 지켰은즉 그들은 내게 가까이 나아와 수종을 들되 내 앞에 서서 기름과 피를 내게 드릴지니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

44:16 그들이 내 성소에 들어오며 또 내 상에 가까이 나아와 내게 수종들어 내가 맡긴 직분을 지키되

15 “‘But the Levitical priests, who are descendants of Zadok and who guarded my sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from me, are to come near to minister before me; they are to stand before me to offer sacrifices of fat and blood, declares the Sovereign Lord. 16 They alone are to enter my sanctuary; they alone are to come near my table to minister before me and serve me as guards.

44:17 그들이 안뜰 문에 들어올 때에나 안뜰 문과 성전 안에서 수종들 때에는 양털 옷을 입지 말고 가는 베 옷을 입을 것이니

44:18 가는 베 관을 머리에 쓰며 가는 베 바지를 입고 땀이 나게 하는 것으로 허리를 동이지 말 것이며

44:19 그들이 바깥뜰 백성에게로 나갈 때에는 수종드는 옷을 벗어 거룩한 방에 두고 다른 옷을 입을 지니 이는 그 옷으로 백성을 거룩하게 할까 함이라

17 “‘When they enter the gates of the inner court, they are to wear linen clothes; they must not wear any woolen garment while ministering at the gates of the inner court or inside the temple. 18 They are to wear linen turbans on their heads and linen undergarments around their waists. They must not wear anything that makes them perspire. 19 When they go out into the outer court where the people are, they are to take off the clothes they have been ministering in and are to leave them in the sacred rooms, and put on other clothes, so that the people are not consecrated through contact with their garments.

44:20 그들은 또 머리털을 밀지도 말며 머리털을 길게 자라게도 말고 그 머리털을 깎기만 할 것이며

44:21 아무 제사장이든지 안뜰에 들어 갈 때에는 포도주를 마시지 말 것이며

44:22 과부나 이혼한 여인에게 장가들지 말고 오직 이스라엘 족속의 처녀나 혹시 제사장의 과부에게 장가 들 것이며

44:23 내 백성에게 거룩한 것과 속된 것의 구별을 가르치며 부정한 것과 정한 것을 분별하게 할 것이며

20 “‘They must not shave their heads or let their hair grow long, but they are to keep the hair of their heads trimmed. 21 No priest is to drink wine when he enters the inner court. 22 They must not marry widows or divorced women; they may marry only virgins of Israelite descent or widows of priests. 23 They are to teach my people the difference between the holy and the common and show them how to distinguish between the unclean and the clean.

44:24 송사하는 일을 재판하되 내 규례대로 재판할 것이며 내 모든 정한 절기에는 내 법도와 율례를 지킬 것이며 또 내 안식일을 거룩하게 하며

24 “‘In any dispute, the priests are to serve as judges and decide it according to my ordinances. They are to keep my laws and my decrees for all my appointed festivals, and they are to keep my Sabbaths holy.

44:25 시체를 가까이 하여 스스로 더럽히지 못할 것이로되 부모나 자녀나 형제나 시집가지 아니한 자매를 위하여는 더럽힐 수 있으며

44:26 이런 자는 스스로 정결하게 한 후에 칠 일을 더 지낼 것이요

44:27 성소에서 수종들기 위해 안뜰과 성소에 들어갈 때에는 속죄제를 드릴지니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

25 “‘A priest must not defile himself by going near a dead person; however, if the dead person was his father or mother, son or daughter, brother or unmarried sister, then he may defile himself. 26 After he is cleansed, he must wait seven days. 27 On the day he goes into the inner court of the sanctuary to minister in the sanctuary, he is to offer a sin offering for himself, declares the Sovereign Lord.

44:28 그들에게는 기업이 있으리니 내가 곧 그 기업이라 너희는 이스라엘 가운데에서 그들에게 산업을 주지 말라 내가 그 산업이 됨이라

44:29 그들은 소제와 속죄제와 속건제의 제물을 먹을지니 이스라엘 중에서 구별하여 드리는 물건을 다 그들에게 돌리며

44:30 또 각종 처음 익은 열매와 너희 모든 예물 중에 각종 거제 제물을 다 제사장에게 돌리고 너희가 또 첫 밀가루를 제사장에게 주어 그들에게 네 집에 복이 내리도록 하게 하라

44:31 새나 가축이 저절로 죽은 것이나 찢겨서 죽은 것은 다 제사장이 먹지 말 것이니라

28 “‘I am to be the only inheritance the priests have. You are to give them no possession in Israel; I will be their possession. 29 They will eat the grain offerings, the sin offerings and the guilt offerings; and everything in Israel devoted to the Lord will belong to them. 30 The best of all the firstfruits and of all your special gifts will belong to the priests. You are to give them the first portion of your ground meal so that a blessing may rest on your household. 31 The priests must not eat anything, whether bird or animal, found dead or torn by wild animals.

45:1 너희는 제비 뽑아 땅을 나누어 기업으로 삼을 때에 한 구역을 거룩한 땅으로 삼아 여호와께 예물로 드릴지니 그 길이는 이만 오천 척이요 너비는 만 척이라 그 구역 안 전부가 거 룩하리라

45:2 그 중에서 성소에 속할 땅은 길이가 오백 척이요 너비가 오백 척이니 네모가 반듯하며 그 외에 사방 쉰 척으로 전원이 되게 하되

45:3 이 측량한 가운데에서 길이는 이만 오천 척을 너비는 만 척을 측량하고 그 안에 성소를 둘지니 지극히 거룩한 곳이요

45:4 그 곳은 성소에서 수종드는 제사장들 곧 하나님께 가까이 나아가서 수종드는 자들에게 주는 거룩한 땅이니 그들이 집을 지을 땅이며 성소를 위한 거룩한 곳이라

45:5 또 길이는 이만 오천 척을 너비는 만 척을 측량하여 성전에서 수종드는 레위 사람에게 돌려 그들의 거주지를 삼아 마을 스물을 세우게 하고

1 “‘When you allot the land as an inheritance, you are to present to the Lord a portion of the land as a sacred district, 25,000 cubits long and 20,000 cubits wide; the entire area will be holy. 2 Of this, a section 500 cubits square is to be for the sanctuary, with 50 cubits around it for open land. 3 In the sacred district, measure off a section 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits wide. In it will be the sanctuary, the Most Holy Place. 4 It will be the sacred portion of the land for the priests, who minister in the sanctuary and who draw near to minister before the Lord. It will be a place for their houses as well as a holy place for the sanctuary. 5 An area 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits wide will belong to the Levites, who serve in the temple, as their possession for towns to live in.

45:6 구별한 거룩한 구역 옆에 너비는 오천 척을 길이는 이만 오천 척을 측량하여 성읍의 기지로 삼아 이스라엘 온 족속에게 돌리고

6 “‘You are to give the city as its property an area 5,000 cubits wide and 25,000 cubits long, adjoining the sacred portion; it will belong to all Israel.

45:7 드린 거룩한 구역과 성읍의 기지 된 땅의 좌우편 곧 드린 거룩한 구역의 옆과 성읍의 기지 옆의 땅을 왕에게 돌리되 서쪽으로 향하여 서쪽 국경까지와 동쪽으로 향하여 동쪽 국경까지니 그 길이가 구역 하나와 서로 같을지니라

45:8 이 땅을 왕에게 돌려 이스라엘 가운데에 기업으로 삼게 하면 나의 왕들이 다시는 내 백성을 압제하지 아니하리라 그 나머지 땅은 이스라엘 족속에게 그 지파대로 줄지니라

7 “‘The prince will have the land bordering each side of the area formed by the sacred district and the property of the city. It will extend westward from the west side and eastward from the east side, running lengthwise from the western to the eastern border parallel to one of the tribal portions. 8 This land will be his possession in Israel. And my princes will no longer oppress my people but will allow the people of Israel to possess the land according to their tribes.

45:9 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 이스라엘의 통치자들아 너희에게 만족하니라 너희는 포악과 겁탈을 제거하여 버리고 정의와 공의를 행하여 내 백성에게 속여 빼앗는 것을 그칠지니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

45:10 너희는 공정한 저울과 공정한 에바와 공정한 밧을 쓸지니

45:11 에바와 밧은 그 용량을 동일하게 하되 호멜의 용량을 따라 밧은 십분의 일 호멜을 담게 하고 에바도 십분의 일 호멜을 담게 할 것이며

45:12 세겔은 이십 게라니 이십 세겔과 이십오 세겔과 십오 세겔로 너희 마네가 되게 하라

9 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: You have gone far enough, princes of Israel! Give up your violence and oppression and do what is just and right. Stop dispossessing my people, declares the Sovereign Lord. 10 You are to use accurate scales, an accurate ephah and an accurate bath. 11 The ephah and the bath are to be the same size, the bath containing a tenth of a homer and the ephah a tenth of a homer; the homer is to be the standard measure for both. 12 The shekel is to consist of twenty gerahs. Twenty shekels plus twenty-five shekels plus fifteen shekels equal one mina.

45:13 너희가 마땅히 드릴 예물은 이러하니 밀 한 호멜에서는 육분의 일 에바를 드리고 보리 한 호멜에서도 육분의 일 에바를 드리며

45:14 기름은 정한 규례대로 한 고르에서 십분의 일 밧을 드릴지니 기름의 밧으로 말하면 한 고르는 십 밧 곧 한 호멜이며 (십 밧은 한 호멜이라)

45:15 또 이스라엘의 윤택한 초장의 가축 떼 이백 마리에서는 어린 양 한 마리를 드릴 것이라 백성을 속죄하기 위하여 이것들을 소제와 번제와 감사 제물로 삼을지니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

45:16 이 땅 모든 백성은 이 예물을 이스라엘의 군주에게 드리고

45:17 군주의 본분은 번제와 소제와 전제를 명절과 초하루와 안식일과 이스라엘 족속의 모든 정한 명절에 갖추는 것이니 이스라엘 족속을 속죄하기 위하여 이 속죄제와 소제와 번제와 감사 제물을 갖출지니라

13 “‘This is the special gift you are to offer: a sixth of an ephah from each homer of wheat and a sixth of an ephah from each homer of barley. 14 The prescribed portion of olive oil, measured by the bath, is a tenth of a bath from each cor (which consists of ten baths or one homer, for ten baths are equivalent to a homer). 15 Also one sheep is to be taken from every flock of two hundred from the well-watered pastures of Israel. These will be used for the grain offerings, burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to make atonement for the people, declares the Sovereign Lord. 16 All the people of the land will be required to give this special offering to the prince in Israel. 17 It will be the duty of the prince to provide the burnt offerings, grain offerings and drink offerings at the festivals, the New Moons and the Sabbaths—at all the appointed festivals of Israel. He will provide the sin offerings, grain offerings, burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to make atonement for the Israelites.

45:18 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 첫째 달 초하룻날에 흠 없는 수송아지 한 마리를 가져다가 성소를 정결하게 하되

45:19 제사장이 그 속죄제 희생제물의 피를 가져다가 성전 문설주와 제단 아래층 네 모퉁이와 안뜰 문설주에 바를 것이요

45:20 그 달 칠일에도 모든 과실범과 모르고 범죄한 자를 위하여 역시 그렇게 하여 성전을 속죄할지니라

18 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In the first month on the first day you are to take a young bull without defect and purify the sanctuary. 19 The priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the doorposts of the temple, on the four corners of the upper ledge of the altar and on the gateposts of the inner court. 20 You are to do the same on the seventh day of the month for anyone who sins unintentionally or through ignorance; so you are to make atonement for the temple.

45:21 첫째 달 열나흗날에는 유월절을 칠 일 동안 명절로 지키며 누룩 없는 떡을 먹을 것이라

45:22 그 날에 왕은 자기와 이 땅 모든 백성을 위하여 송아지 한 마리를 갖추어 속죄제를 드릴 것이요

45:23 또 명절 칠 일 동안에는 그가 나 여호와를 위하여 번제를 준비하되 곧 이레 동안에 매일 흠 없는 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리이며 또 매일 숫염소 한 마리를 갖추어 속죄제를 드릴 것이며

45:24 또 소제를 갖추되 수송아지 한 마리에는 밀가루 한 에바요 숫양 한 마리에도 한 에바며 밀가루 한 에바에는 기름 한 힌 씩이며

21 “‘In the first month on the fourteenth day you are to observe the Passover, a festival lasting seven days, during which you shall eat bread made without yeast. 22 On that day the prince is to provide a bull as a sin offering for himself and for all the people of the land. 23 Every day during the seven days of the festival he is to provide seven bulls and seven rams without defect as a burnt offering to the Lord, and a male goat for a sin offering. 24 He is to provide as a grain offering an ephah for each bull and an ephah for each ram, along with a hin of olive oil for each ephah.

45:25 일곱째 달 열다섯째 날에 칠 일 동안 명절을 지켜 속죄제와 번제며 그 밀가루와 기름을 드릴 지니라

25 “‘During the seven days of the festival, which begins in the seventh month on the fifteenth day, he is to make the same provision for sin offerings, burnt offerings, grain offerings and oil.

지난 금요일 본문에서 성전의 회복이 곧 예배의 회복이고, 예배의 회복이 곧 섬김의 회복임을 나눴습니다.

이제 에스겔서의 나머지 부분은 이 회복과 관련된 이야기라고 할 수 있습니다. 종교, 사회, 정치 전반에 걸쳐 새로운 공동체로 거듭나기 위한 과정을 보여줍니다.

In last Friday’s passage, we shared that the restoration of the temple is the restoration of worship, and the restoration of worship is the restoration of service.  

The remainder of the Book of Ezekiel tells the story of this recovery. It shows the process through which a new community is reborn across religion, society, and politics as a whole.  

예배의 회복은 곧 제사장의 회복 (44:15~31)

예배가 온전하기 위해서는 제물과 죄인, 그리고 제사장이 필요하다고 말씀 드렸습니다. 가장 중요한 것은 죄인을 대신하여 하나님 앞에 나가는 제사장입니다. 제사장이 타락하면 모든 예배가 타락합니다. 실제로 이스라엘의 문제가 제사장의 타락이었습니다.

제사장들이 우상숭배에 앞장 서면서 일반 백성들까지 담대하게 범죄할 수 있도록 길을 열어 주었습니다. 덕분에 이스라엘이 하나님의 심판을 면할 수 없었던 것입니다. 그래서 지난 본문에서 레위인들이 그 제사장의 직분을 빼았긴 것입니다. 그들은 이제 성전 문지기와 성전에서 벌어지는 잡일을 맡게 되었습니다.

그렇다면 이제 제사는 누가 진행할까요? 바로 사독계열의 제사장들입니다. 오늘 본문에서 하나님은 다음과 같이 에스겔에게 말씀 하십니다.

이스라엘 족속이 그릇 행하여 나를 떠날 때에 사독의 자손 레위 사람 제사장들은 내 성소의 직분을 지켰은즉 그들은 내게 가까이 나아와 수종을 들되 내 앞에 서서 기름과 피를 내게 드릴지니라 (겔 44:15)

Restoration of Worship Means Restoration of the Priesthood (44:15–31)  

As mentioned before, for worship to be complete, it requires a sacrifice, a sinner, and a priest. Most important is the priest, who approaches God on behalf of the sinner. If the priest corrupts, all worship becomes corrupt. Indeed, Israel’s fundamental problem was the corruption of its priests.  

Because the priests took the lead in idolatry, they paved the way for the general public to sin boldly. As a result, Israel could not escape God’s judgment. That is why, in the previous passage, the Levites were stripped of their priestly office. They were relegated to serving as temple gatekeepers and handling menial duties around the temple.  

Who, then, will carry out the sacrifices now? It will be the priests of the line of Zadok. In today’s text, God says to Ezekiel:  

끝까지 신앙의 순전함을 지킨 사독 계열의 레위인들이 앞으로는 전담으로 제사장 직분을 감당할 것입니다. 실제 역사적으로 다윗솨 솔로몬에게 대를 이어 충성한 사독계열의 제사장들은 그 직분을 계속 유지할 수 있었고, 아마도 복음서에 등장하는 사두개인들이 바로 이들의 후손일 것으로 학자들은 예상합니다.

아이러니 한 것은 사독계열의 제사장들이 신약 시대에는 타락하여 영적인 존재도 믿지 않고, 예수님도 믿지 않았다는 사실입니다. 인간은 그렇게 연약한 존재라는 것이 분명합니다. 하나님의 은혜 가운데 머물지 않으면 영원한 신앙을 유지할 수 없습니다.

특별히 하나님은 모세 때와 같이 제사장들에게 기업으로서 땅을 주지 말 것을 명령하십니다. 단 그들이 생황하기 위한 땅은 당연히 주십니다. 그렇게 하시는 이유는 제사장들의 기업은 여호와 하나님이시기 때문입니다.

왕 같은 제사장인 현대 성도들도 마찬가지입니다. 하나님만이 우리의 기업이 되십니다. 나머지는 그저 우리에게 주신 사명입니다. 청지기로서 주신 것들을 잘 감당하면 그만입니다. 특별히 저와 같은 목회자들이 정신을 차리고, 하나님만 나의 기업으로 삼는 것이 무엇인지 보여주어야 합니다. 목회자의 타락은 예배의 타락으로 이어지기 때문입니다.   

The Levites of the Zadokite line, who preserved the purity of their faith to the very end, will now bear sole responsibility for the priestly duties. Historically, the Zadokite priests remained loyal across generations through David and Solomon, maintaining their office throughout history. Scholars anticipate that the Sadducees who appear in the Gospels were direct descendants of these priests.  

The irony is that by the New Testament era, the Zadokite line had corrupted itself to the point where they no longer believed in spiritual realities or in Jesus. This clearly demonstrates how fragile human beings are. Unless we abide in God’s grace, we cannot maintain lasting faith.  

In particular, God commands—just as in the time of Moses—that the priests be given no land as an inheritance. Of course, land necessary for their living is provided. The reason for this is that the Lord God Himself is the priests' inheritance.  

The same applies to modern believers, who are a royal priesthood. God alone is our inheritance. Everything else is simply a mission given to us. It is enough that we faithfully fulfill what we have been given as stewards. Pastors especially must remain alert and show what it means to take God alone as one’s inheritance, because the corruption of the pastor leads directly to the corruption of worship. 

땅의 회복은 중심에 여호와를 모시는 것 (45:1~8)

하나님은 이스라엘 땅을 다시 재분배합니다. 길쭉한 이스라엘 땅 중앙에 하나님의 성전이 있는 거룩한 땅을 확보합니다. 그리고 그 위로 제사장과 레위인의 땅을 배정합니다. 레위인 땅과 제사장들의 땅, 여호와 삼마로 불릴 도시의 땅 좌우는 왕의 땅입니다. 그리고 위 아래는 12지파에게 땅이 분배됩니다(그림 참조).

새로운 땅 분배의 핵심은 땅의 중심에 하나님을 모신다는 것입니다. 이것은 영적으로 해석하자면, 우리 삶과 마음의 중심에 하나님을 모셔야 함을 의미합니다. 마음의 보좌에 하나님을 주인으로 모신 자의 삶은 일목요연하게 정돈이 됩니다. 하나님의 명령에 따라 살아가기 때문입니다. 항상 삶의 중심에 하나님을 모시고, 모든 결정에 있어서 하나님의 뜻을 구하고 따라야 합니다. 이것이 진정한 땅의 회복입니다.

Restoration of the Land Means Placing the Lord at the Center (45:1–8)  

God redistributes the land of Israel. At the center of the elongated territory, He secures holy ground containing God's temple. Above that, land is assigned to the priests and Levites. To the left and right of the land for the Levites, the priests, and the city to be called YHWH-Shammah, lies the prince's land. Above and below, the land is distributed among the twelve tribes (see diagram above).  

The core of this new land distribution is placing God at the center of the land. Interpreted spiritually, this means we must place God at the center of our lives and hearts. The life of one who honors God as Lord on the throne of their heart becomes clearly ordered, because they live according to God's commands. We must always keep God at the center of our lives and seek and follow His will in every decision. This is the true restoration of the land.  

새로운 나라의 회복은 지도자의 회복 (45:9~25)

오늘 본문의 마지막은 나라가 새로워지는 비결에 대한 하나님의 말씀입니다. 나라가 새로워지기 위해서는 나라의 통치자, 곧 왕을 포함한 지도자들이 새로워져야 합니다. 이스라엘 지도자들의 가장 큰 문제는 가난한 자들에 대한 억압과 불공정한 재판이었습니다. 하나님은 다음과 같이 말씀 하십니다.

너희는 포악과 겁탈을 제거하여 버리고 정의와 공의를 행하여

내 백성에게 속여 빼앗은 것을 그칠지니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라 (9)

하나님을 대행하는 지도층은 백성들이 자신의 백성이 아닌, 하나님의 백성임을 잠시도 잊어서는 안 됩니다.

두번째로 나라가 새로워지기 위해서는 하나님께 드리는 예물을 바로 드려야 합니다.

이것은 백성들이 마땅히 행해야 할 의무를 의미합니다. 시민의식을 가지고 납세 같은 책임을 다해야 합니다.

세번째로 왕은 백성들이 드린 예물을 가지고 절기를 회복 시켜야 합니다.

백성들을 위한 유월절, 초막절과 같은 절기에 사용할 예물을 백성들을 위해 왕이 준비해야 합니다. 왕은 백성들의 거룩함을 책임질 의무가 있는 것입니다.

Restoration of a New Nation Means Restoration of its Leaders (45:9–25)  

The final part of today's text contains God's word on the secret to a nation's renewal. For a nation to be renewed, its rulers—including the king and leaders—must be renewed. The greatest issue with Israel's leaders was their oppression of the poor and unfair trials. God says:  

1. Leader Responsibility: The ruling class, acting on God's behalf, must never forget for a moment that the people are God's people, not their own.  

2. Civic Duty: For a nation to be renewed, offerings to God must be given properly. This represents the duties that citizens ought to perform—fulfilling responsibilities such as paying taxes with civic awareness.  

3. Spiritual Duty of Rulers: The king must use the offerings brought by the people to restore the sacred feasts. The king must prepare offerings for the people to use during feasts like Passover and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles). Rulers have a duty to take responsibility for the people's holiness.  

하나님의 말씀대로만 한다면 이 땅에 있는 모든 나라가 잘 사는 나라, 부강한 나라가 될 것 같다는 확신이 듭니다. 모든 백성들이 행복하고, 혜택을 누리며, 예배가 살아 있는 참 이스라엘이 될 것입니다. 각자의 역할이 무엇이든지, 맡은 바 책임을 다하고 내가 거룩하니 너희도 거룩하라는 아버지 하나님의 말씀을 마음에 새기고 살아간다면, 우리가 살아가는 그 땅이 하나님의 나라가 될 것입니다.

I am convinced that if all nations on earth simply lived according to God's word, they would become prosperous and flourishing. All people would be happy, enjoy blessings, and become a true Israel where worship is alive. Whatever our individual roles may be, if we fulfill our assigned responsibilities and live with God the Father's command etched on our hearts—"Be holy, because I am holy"—the land where we live will become the Kingdom of God.
