20:11 마리아는 무덤 밖에 서서 울고 있더니 울면서 구부려 무덤 안을 들여다보니

20:12 흰 옷 입은 두 천사가 예수의 시체 뉘었던 곳에 하나는 머리 편에, 하나는 발 편에 앉았더라

11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.

20:13 천사들이 이르되 여자여 어찌하여 우느냐 이르되 사람들이 내 주님을 옮겨다가 어디 두었는지 내가 알지 못함이니이다

20:14 이 말을 하고 뒤로 돌이켜 예수께서 서 계신 것을 보았으나 예수이신 줄은 알지 못하더라

13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”

“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.

20:15 예수께서 이르시되 여자여 어찌하여 울며 누구를 찾느냐 하시니 마리아는 그가 동산지기인 줄 알고 이르되 주여 당신이 옮겼거든 어디 두었는지 내게 이르소서 그리하면 내가 가져가리이다

15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?”

Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”

20:16 예수께서 마리아야 하시거늘 마리아가 돌이켜 히브리 말로 랍오니 하니 (이는 선생님이라는 말이라)

16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.”

She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).

20:17 예수께서 이르시되 나를 붙들지 말라 내가 아직 아버지께로 올라가지 아니하였노라 너는 내 형제들에게 가서 이르되 내가 내 아버지 곧 너희 아버지, 내 하나님 곧 너희 하나님께로 올라간다 하라 하시니

17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

20:18 막달라 마리아가 가서 제자들에게 내가 주를 보았다 하고 또 주께서 자기에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다 이르니라

18 Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.

20:19 이 날 곧 안식 후 첫날 저녁 때에 제자들이 유대인들을 두려워하여 모인 곳의 문들을 닫았더니 예수께서 오사 가운데 서서 이르시되 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다

20:20 이 말씀을 하시고 손과 옆구리를 보이시니 제자들이 주를 보고 기뻐하더라

19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.

20:21 예수께서 또 이르시되 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것 같이 나도 너희를 보내노라

20:22 이 말씀을 하시고 그들을 향하사 숨을 내쉬며 이르시되 성령을 받으라

20:23 너희가 누구의 죄든지 사하면 사하여질 것이요 누구의 죄든지 그대로 두면 그대로 있으리라 하시니라

21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

            우리는 어제의 말씀을 통해 예수님께서 정말 부활 하셨다는 사실을 함께 나누었습니다. 요한복음서를 읽고 있는 우리는 요한의 기록을 통해 예수님의 부활을 알 수 있었지요. 그러나 정작 오늘 말씀 안에 있는 막달라 마리아나 제자들은 어제의 말씀의 증거들을 직접 경험하고도 아직 예수님의 부활을 깨닫지 못하는 모습입니다. 그런 그들에게 예수님께서 직접 나타나십니다. 단순한 증거들 뿐만 아니라 부활하신 예수님을 마리아와 제자들은 직접 경험하게 됩니다. 오늘 말씀을 통하여 드러나시는 부활 하신 예수님은 바로 성자 하나님이셨습니다. 부활하신 예수님은 살아계신 하나님이시며 우리의 두려움을 평강으로 바꾸시는 평강의 하나님이신 것입니다. 오늘은 본문 말씀을 통하여 드러나는 부활하신 성자 하나님에 대해서 말씀 나누기 원합니다.

Through yesterday's message, we shared the fact that Jesus truly was resurrected. Through our reading of the Gospel of John, we were able to understand Jesus' resurrection through John's account. However, in today's passage, Mary Magdalene and the disciples still couldn't comprehend Jesus' resurrection despite directly experiencing the evidence from yesterday's message. Jesus appears to them directly. Not just simple evidence, but Mary and the disciples get to experience the resurrected Jesus personally. The resurrected Jesus revealed in today's message was, in fact, God the Son. The resurrected Jesus is the living God and the God of peace who transforms our fear into peace. Today, I want to share with you about the resurrected God the Son as revealed in the passage.

            가장 먼저 말씀드리고 싶은 것은 부활하신 예수님은 살아계신 하나님이시라는 것입니다. 오늘 말씀 11절과 12절을 보면 무덤 밖에서 울고 있던 마리아가 울면서 무덤 안을 들여다 봅니다. 그랬더니 무덤 안에 “흰 옷 입은 두 천사가 예수의 시체 뉘었던 곳에 하나는 머리 편에 하나는 발 편에 앉았더라”라고 하지요. 제자들이 보았을 때는 분명히 빈 무덤이었는데 이상합니다. 이 두 천사는 갑자기 왜 나타난 것일까요? 이 두 천사가 상징하는 것은 바로 하나님의 임재입니다. 여러분 지금 주일마다 우리 임은석 목사님께서 사무엘상 설교를 하시지 않습니까? 특별히 요즈음 저희가 듣는 말씀이 바로 하나님의 법궤에 대한 것이지요. 이스라엘 백성들이 블레셋과의 전쟁에서 지고 있으니까 하나님의 법궤를 가져와라 그러면 우리를 구원하실 것이다 이런 장면들이 나오지요. 왜 그렇습니까? 바로 하나님의 법궤가 하나님의 임재를 상징하기 때문입니다. 그래서 실로에서 언약궤를 가지고 오는데 그 때에 언약궤를 이렇게 묘사합니다. 사무엘 상 4:4입니다. “이에 백성이 실로에 사람을 보내어 그룹 사이에 계신 만군의 여호와의 언약궤를 거기서 가져왔고” 뭐라고 합니까? 그룹 사이에 계신 만군의 여호와의 언약궤. 그룹이 무엇입니까? 천사입니다. 저희 성경은 ‘그룹 사이에 계신’ 이라고 적혀있지만 본디 ‘그룹 사이에 좌정하신’ 즉 이 천사들이 하나님의 왕좌인 것을 알리고 있습니다. 그래서 이 법궤의 윗부분, 두 천사들이 양 끝에 있고 서로 날개를 높이 펴서 덮고 있는 부분을 우리말로는 속죄소라 하고 영어로는 자비의 보좌 Mercy Seat이라고 합니다. 이곳이 바로 하나님의 임재가 머무는 하나님의 보좌인 것입니다. 그래서 이 법궤가 지성소 안에 있는 것이지요. 또한 이 지성소 안의 법궤의 위에 두 천사가 있는 속죄소, 즉 하나님의 자비의 보좌에는 중대한 또다른 의미가 있습니다. 바로 일년에 한 번 대속죄일에 오직 대제사장만이 이 지성소 안에 들어와 이 속죄소에 피를 뿌리지요. 무엇 때문입니까? 바로 모든 이스라엘 백성들의 죄를 씻는 것입니다. 자 오늘 말씀 12절에 두 천사가 어디에 앉아 있습니까? 예수의 시체 뉘었던 곳에 그 양 끝에 앉아있습니다. 이곳이 바로 속죄소이며 하나님의 자비의 보좌인 것입니다. 그곳에 하나님의 어린양이신 예수님의 피가 뿌려져 이스라엘 백성 뿐만 아니라 모든 사람의 죄가 씻어진 것입니다. 그리고 예수님은 그 천사들 사이에 그 자비의 보좌에 앉아계신 하나님이신 것입니다. 이것이 오늘 말씀에 흰옷 입은 두 천사가 예수님이 하나님이심을 드러내는 이유입니다.

First, I want to tell you that the resurrected Jesus is the living God. Looking at verses 11 and 12 of today's passage, Mary, who was crying outside the tomb, looks inside the tomb while weeping. And then, "she saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot." When the disciples looked, it was clearly an empty tomb, which is strange. Why did these two angels suddenly appear? These two angels symbolize God's presence. Every Sunday, isn't Pastor Lim Eun-seok preaching from 1 Samuel? Especially these days, we're hearing messages about the Ark of the Covenant. When the Israelites were losing the war against the Philistines, they said, "Bring the Ark of God here, and it will save us." Why is that? Because the Ark of God symbolizes God's presence. So they brought the Ark of the Covenant from Shiloh, and at that time, the Ark of the Covenant is described like this. 1 Samuel 4:4 says, "So the people sent men to Shiloh, and they brought back the ark of the covenant of the LORD Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim." What does it say? The Ark of the Covenant of the LORD Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim. What are cherubim? Angels. Our Bible says "who is enthroned between the cherubim," indicating that these angels form God's throne. That's why the top part of the Ark, where two angels are at both ends with their wings spread high covering it, is called the atonement cover in Korean and the Mercy Seat in English. This is God's throne where God's presence dwells. That's why this Ark is in the Most Holy Place. Also, the atonement cover above the Ark in the Most Holy Place, with two angels on it—God's Mercy Seat—has another significant meaning. It's where, once a year on the Day of Atonement, only the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place and sprinkle blood on this atonement cover. For what purpose? To cleanse the sins of all the Israelites. Now, in verse 12 of today's passage, where are the two angels sitting? They are sitting at both ends of where Jesus' body had been laid. This place is the atonement cover and God's Mercy Seat. The blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, was sprinkled there, washing away the sins not only of the Israelites but of all people. And Jesus is God, seated on that Mercy Seat between those angels. This is why the two angels dressed in white in today's passage reveal that Jesus is God.

            두번째로, 부활하신 예수님은 평강의 하나님이십니다. 부활하신 예수님을 만나기 전 마리아는 무덤 밖에 서서 슬피 울고 있었습니다. 그러나 예수님께서 마리아의 이름을 부르실 때에 그녀는 예수님의 음성을 알아듣고 너무나 기쁘게 선생님!을 외치지요. 그리고 부활하신 예수님과 대화를 나눈 후에는 제자들에게 가서 내가 주님을 보았다 라며 예수님을 선생님이라고 불렀던 마리아가 예수님의 주님 되심을 고백합니다. 그렇다면 제자들은 어떻습니까? 19절을 보시면 같은 날 저녁입니다. 아마도 마리아나 베드로, 또는 다른 제자가 이미 그들이 이른 새벽에 본 예수님의 빈 무덤에 대해서 이야기 했을 것입니다. 그러나 아직 부활하신 예수님을 만나지 못한 그들은 말씀을 보니 “제자들이 유대인들을 두려워하여 모인 곳의 문들을 닫았더니” 라고 합니다. 이들은 두려움에 휩싸여 있었습니다. 이들에게는 유대인들에 대한 두려움이 너무 컸습니다. 예수님께서 부활하셨다는 소식에도 그들은 그 두려움을 이기지 못하였습니다. 그렇게 두려움에 떨며 모든 문들을 닫고 밀실안에 있는 그들 가운데에 홀연히 예수님께서 나타나셨습니다. 그리고 그 예수님의 첫마디가 바로 “너희에게 평강이 있을지어다” 입니다. 예수님은 이들이 두려움에 떨고 있다고 질책하지 않으셨습니다. 왜 나의 부활을 믿지 않았냐고 나무라지 않으셨습니다. 오히려 두려움에 떨고 있는 그들에게 직접 그 손과 옆구리를 보이시며 당신께서 부활하셨음을 친히 보이셨습니다. 그러자 제자들의 두려움이 변하여 기쁨이 되었습니다. 마리아의 슬픔, 제자들의 두려움 모두 부활하신 예수님께서 기쁨과 평강으로 바꾸셨습니다. 그리고 그 평강의 하나님이신 예수님께서 그들을 파송하시며 그들이 그 사명을 감당할 수 있도록 성령 또한 불어넣어 주십니다. 하나님의 영이신 성령을 예수님께서는 마치 창세기에서 사람을 흙으로 지으시고 코에 생기를 불어넣으셨던 하나님의 모습처럼 이들에게도 불어넣어 주시는 것입니다. 예수님이 하나님이심을 다시 한번 보여주시는 것이지요. 사람을 지으실 때에 성부 성자 성령 하나님께서 함께 “우리의 형상을 따라 우리의 모양대로 우리가 사람을 만들고” 라고 하시지 않습니까? 태초부터 계신 성자 하나님 우리의 죄를 씻으시는 평강의 하나님께서 지금 이렇게 부활하셔서 이들에게 성령을 불어넣어 주시는 것입니다.

Second, the resurrected Jesus is the God of peace. Before meeting the resurrected Jesus, Mary stood outside the tomb weeping bitterly. But when Jesus called Mary's name, she recognized His voice and joyfully cried out, "Teacher!" And after conversing with the resurrected Jesus, she went to the disciples and said, "I have seen the Lord," confessing Jesus as Lord, not just as Teacher. What about the disciples? Looking at verse 19, it's the evening of the same day. Perhaps Mary, Peter, or another disciple had already told them about Jesus' empty tomb that they had seen early in the morning. But the passage says that "the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders." They were overwhelmed with fear. Their fear of the Jewish leaders was too great. Even with the news of Jesus' resurrection, they couldn't overcome their fear. As they trembled in fear behind locked doors in a closed room, Jesus suddenly appeared among them. And Jesus' first words were, "Peace be with you!" Jesus didn't rebuke them for trembling in fear. He didn't scold them for not believing in His resurrection. Instead, He showed them His hands and side, personally demonstrating that He had risen. Then the disciples' fear turned into joy. Jesus transformed Mary's sorrow and the disciples' fear into joy and peace. And Jesus, the God of peace, sends them out and breathes the Holy Spirit into them so they can fulfill their mission. Jesus breathes the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, into them just as in Genesis when God formed man from dust and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils. This again shows that Jesus is God. When creating humans, didn't God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit together say, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness"? God the Son, who has existed from the beginning, the God of peace who cleanses our sins, has now risen and is breathing the Holy Spirit into them.

            말씀을 맺습니다. 부활하신 예수님은 살아계신 하나님이십니다. 또한 평강의 하나님이십니다. 우리의 죄를 사하여 주시고 우리의 슬픔과 두려움을 기쁨과 평강으로 바꾸어주십니다. 우리를 보내시며 부르심을 감당할 수 있도록 당신의 성령을 불어주십니다. 이것이 우리 예수님, 부활하신 성자 하나님이십니다. 기도하시겠습니다.

In conclusion, the resurrected Jesus is the living God. He is also the God of peace. He forgives our sins and transforms our sorrow and fear into joy and peace. He sends us out and gives us His Holy Spirit so we can fulfill His calling. This is our Jesus, the resurrected God the Son. Let us pray.
