22:1 여호와께서 다윗을 모든 원수의 손과 사울의 손에서 구원하신 그 날에 다윗이 이 노래의 말씀으로 여호와께 아뢰어
1 David sang to the Lord the words of this song when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.
22:2 이르되 여호와는 나의 반석이시요 나의 요새시요 나를 위하여 나를 건지시는 자시요
2 He said:
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
22:3 내가 피할 나의 반석의 하나님이시요 나의 방패시요 나의 구원의 뿔이시요 나의 높은 망대시요 그에게 피할 나의 피난처이시요 나의 구원자시라 나를 폭력에서 구원하셨도다
3 my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation.
He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—
from violent people you save me.
22:4 내가 찬송 받으실 여호와께 아뢰리니 내 원수들에게서 구원을 받으리로다
4 “I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
and have been saved from my enemies.
22:5 사망의 물결이 나를 에우고 불의의 창수가 나를 두렵게 하였으며
5 The waves of death swirled about me;
the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.
22:6 스올의 줄이 나를 두르고 사망의 올무가 내게 이르렀도다
6 The cords of the grave coiled around me;
the snares of death confronted me.
22:7 내가 환난 중에서 여호와께 아뢰며 나의 하나님께 아뢰었더니 그가 그의 성전에서 내 소리를 들으심이여 나의 부르짖음이 그의 귀에 들렸도다
7 “In my distress I called to the Lord;
I called out to my God.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came to his ears.
22:8 이에 땅이 진동하고 떨며 하늘의 기초가 요동하고 흔들렸으니 그의 진노로 말미암음이로다
8 The earth trembled and quaked,
the foundations of the heavens shook;
they trembled because he was angry.
22:9 그의 코에서 연기가 오르고 입에서 불이 나와 사름이여 그 불에 숯이 피었도다
9 Smoke rose from his nostrils;
consuming fire came from his mouth,
burning coals blazed out of it.
22:10 그가 또 하늘을 드리우고 강림하시니 그의 발 아래는 어두캄캄하였도다
10 He parted the heavens and came down;
dark clouds were under his feet.
22:11 그룹을 타고 날으심이여 바람 날개 위에 나타나셨도다
11 He mounted the cherubim and flew;
he soared on the wings of the wind.
22:12 그가 흑암 곧 모인 물과 공중의 빽빽한 구름으로 둘린 장막을 삼으심이여
12 He made darkness his canopy around him—
the dark rain clouds of the sky.
22:13 그 앞에 있는 광채로 말미암아 숯불이 피었도다
13 Out of the brightness of his presence
bolts of lightning blazed forth.
22:14 여호와께서 하늘에서 우렛 소리를 내시며 지존하신 자가 음성을 내심이여
14 The Lord thundered from heaven;
the voice of the Most High resounded.
22:15 화살을 날려 그들을 흩으시며 번개로 무찌르셨도다
15 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy,
with great bolts of lightning he routed them.
22:16 이럴 때에 여호와의 꾸지람과 콧김으로 말미암아 물 밑이 드러나고 세상의 기초가 나타났도다
16 The valleys of the sea were exposed
and the foundations of the earth laid bare
at the rebuke of the Lord,
at the blast of breath from his nostrils.
여러분들에게는 하나님이 누구신가요? 하나님은 어떻게 당신의 삶에서 움직이시나요? 어디서 하나님을 경험하셨나요? 이런 질문들은 교회에 오랫동안 다닌 사람들에게 어려울 수도 있습니다. 때로는 모든 것을 당연시하고 하나님께 충분한 감사를 드리지 않을 때도 있습니다. 5년전에 저에게 이 질문을 하셨다면, 저는 대답할 수 없었을지도 모릅니다. 우리는 하나님이 우리에게 얼마나 축복을 주셨는지를 깊이 생각해야 합니다. 한번 다 같이 5초 동안 고민하는 시간을 드리겠습니다. 하나님이 어떻게 당신에게 축복이 되셨나요?
Who is God to you? How has God touched your lives? Where have you experienced God? Some of these questions might be hard, especially for those who have been attending church for a very long time. Sometimes, we take everything for granted and do not thank God enough. Five years ago, if you asked me this question, I might have not been able to answer them. We need to truly think about how God has been a blessing in your life. So, let’s think about it for five seconds. How has God blessed you?
가끔 스포츠 선수들의 인터뷰를 보면, 그들은 종종 "이길 수 있도록 저를 이 자리에 세우신 하나님께 감사드립니다" 또는 "이러한 축복을 저에게 주셔서 하나님께 감사드립니다"라고 말합니다. Stephen Curry, Clayton Kershaw, Manny Pacquiao. 이 선수들은 기독교 선수들이라고 많은 사람들이 알고 있고 종종 간증도 합니다. 어떤 선수들은 하나님의 복음을 전파하기 위해 사용되고 있습니다 왜냐하면 유명한 사람이면 목소리가 더 쉽게 들리는 경향이 있습니다. 그런데, 대부분의 선수들의 인터뷰에서 "하나님"이라는 말을 자주 듣습니다. Sometimes when I watch athletes’ interviews, they tend to say, “I thank God for putting me into this position to win” or “I thank God for blessing me with these abilities.” There are many Christian athletes today, like Stephen Curry, Clayton Kershaw, Manny Pacquiao. And some athletes are being used by God to spread the Gospel. If you are famous, your voice tends to be heard a lot easier. However, during most of these interviews from all athletes, I hear the word “God” in their interviews. Sayings like “I thank God” or “I have been blessed” have been very cliché. We need to really remember why we are thankful for God and not just on Thanksgiving. We need to know what God did for us. So, when I ask who God is to you, you should be able to automatically answer the question.
저는 이 질문에 대한 대답으로 성경 구절 하나 읽어드리겠습니다. 시편 40:2 입니다. “나를 기가 막힐 웅덩이와 수렁에서 끌어올리시고 내 발을 반석 위에 두사 내 걸음을 견고하게 하셨도다”
하나님께서 저를 구원하셨고 제 발을 튼튼한 반석 위에 세우셨습니다! 아멘!
제가 여러분들에게 숙제 하나 드리겠습니다. 하나님이 당신을 어떻게 축복해주셨는지 생각해 보세요. 만약 오랜 시간 동안 간증을 말씀하지 않았다면, 하나님의 축복을 기억하기 위해 종이에 한번 기록해 보십시오.
I’ll answer this question myself with a bible verse. It is Psalm 40:2. “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”
He saved me from the pit and set my feet on a rock! Amen!
I’ll give you some homework today. Think about what God has done for you and if you haven’t told your testimony in a long time, I encourage you to write it down to remember God’s blessings in your life.
그리고 이제 오늘 읽은 구절에 이어가겠습니다. 이 노래는 실제로 시편 18편에 나타납니다. 많은 학자들은 이 노래가 시간 순서대로 쓰인 것이 아니라고 생각합니다. 이 노래는 다윗이 어린 시절, 사울이 죽었을 때 그가 왕위를 이어받았을 때 쓴 것으로 여겨집니다. 이 시는 다윗의 찬양, 감사, 그리고 구원에 대한 노래입니다.
And this leads us to the scripture that we read today.
This song actually appears in Psalm 18. Many scholars think that this song is not in chronological order. They believe that David wrote as this as a young man around the time when Saul died and when he took over the throne. And this is a song of praise, thanksgiving, and deliverance from David.
2절과 3절에서 다윗은 하나님을 여러 가지로 부르고 있습니다. 그분을 반석, 요새, 구원의 뿔, 방패, 망대, 피난처, 구원자라고 불렀습니다. 다윗에게 하나님의 은혜는 하나의 제목에 담을 수 없을 만큼 큽니다. 그리고 다윗이 하나님께서 자신의 삶에서 엄청 많은 것을 경험했기 때문에 여러 이름으로 부르고 있는 것입니다. 이것은 지식과 경험의 차이입니다. 이 차이가 바로 바리새인과 제자들의 차이입니다. 하나님을 알고 있는 것, 성경을 천 번 읽은 것만으로는 하나님을 경험한 것이 아닙니다. 하나님을 사랑한 것도 아닙니다. 그것은 단지 세속적인 지식일 뿐입니다. 하지만 하나님을 진정으로 사랑하는 것은 다윗과 같은 경험에서 비롯됩니다. 다윗은 골리앗을 이길 때, 사울에게서 도망쳤을 때, 블레셋과 같은 다양한 적과 싸울 때, 압살롬에게서 구원 받을 때, 자기 자신의 죄에서 구원 받을 때마다 하나님을 경험했습니다. 다윗은 모두 경험했습니다.
In verse 2 and 3, David calls God many different things. He calls Him rock, my fortress, my deliverer, my shield, the horn of salvation, my stronghold, my refuge, and my savior. God’s work for David was so big that it couldn’t be contained in just one title. And each of these titles that he calls God is a little different from each other. He didn’t just give us some list of characteristics of God. He wrote them because he has personally experienced each title in his life. This is the difference between knowledge and experience. This is the difference between pharisees and the disciples. Just because you know God, just because you have read the bible a thousand times, does not mean that you have experienced God. It does not mean that you love God. It just means that you have a lot of worldly knowledge. But truly loving God comes from our experiences like those experiences of David. David experienced God when he defeated Goliath, when he was running away from Saul, when he was fighting various enemies like the Philistines, and when he was delivered from Absalom, and when he was delivered from his own sin. David experienced it all.
5-6절에서 다윗은 사망의 물결, 불의의 창수, 사망의 올무가 그를 압도하려고 한다고 씁니다. 다윗은 신체적으로, 영적으로, 정서적으로 위험에 둘러싸여 있었습니다. 다윗이 하나님께 부르짖을 때 그는 죽음의 고비에 서 있었습니다. 7절에서는 "내가 환난 중에서 여호와께 아뢰며 나의 하나님께 아뢰었더니 그가 그의 성전에서 내 소리를 들으심이여 나의 부르짖음이 그의 귀에 들렸도다"라고 기록되어 있습니다.
In Verses 5-6, David writes about the waves of death, destruction, snares of death trying to overcome him. Danger surrounded David at every side- physically, spiritually, and emotionally. David was at the brink of death when he cried out to God. In verse 7, it says “In my distress I called to the Lord; I called out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came to his ears”.
사단은 우리가 곤경에 처했을 때 우리가 하나님을 부를 수 없다는 생각을 하게 만들고 싶어합니다. 하나님은 우리의 기도를 들으려고 기다리고 계십니다. 다윗은 부르짖었고, 하나님은 그의 목소리를 들으셨습니다. 때로는 그렇게 간단합니다.
The enemy wants us to believe that we can’t call upon our Lord when we are in trouble. God wants to hear our prayers. God is waiting to hear our prayers. David cried out. And God heard his voice. It’s sometimes that simple.
그러면, 하나님께서 우리의 기도를 들으셨다면 어떻게 될까요? 8절에서 하나님이 움직이기 시작했습니다. 땅이 진동했습니다. 11절에서는 "그룹을 타고 날으심이여 바람 날개 위에 나타나셨도다"라고 기록되어있습니다. 다윗은 하나님이 그의 필요를 위해서 즉시 온 것에 대한 표현을 볼수있습니다.
So, God heard his prayers and what happened after? In verse 8, God started moving. The earth shook. In verse 11, it says “He mounted the cherubim and flew” David pictured God coming to meet his need immediately.
하지만 문제는 우리가 11-16절에서 일어나는 이 모습을 실제로 믿지 않는다는 것입니다. 우리가 진짜 하나님이 필요하다….그러면 우리 기도하면 바로 도와주실까 라는 고민을 많이 합니다. 하지만 사실은 그렇습니다! 하나님은 우리와 함께 게십니다. 하나님은 우리를 구원하실 것입니다! 어려움과 고난 속에서 우리를 구원하실 것입니다.
But the problem is that this image of what’s happening in verses 11-16, we don’t really believe it. Will God actually do something, if we say we’re in trouble? But the truth is that Yes! God will deliver us! When we are in the midst of hardship and distress, God will deliver us.
여러분도 삶속에서 고난을 경험한 적이 있을 것입니다. 어떻게 극복하셨나요? 기도하셨나요? 하나님께 컴플레인 하셨나요? 기도 않하시고 가만히 있더니 고난이 지나갔나요? 가만히 생각해보면 하나님이 그 상황 마다 함께 계셨다는 것입니다.
그리고 이것이 곧 여러분들의 간증이 되는것입니다. 저의 경우에는 고난과 어려움을 통해 하나님이 제 바위라는 것을 깨달았습니다. 우리는 우리가 하나님께서 우리를 위해 행하신 일과 하나님이 우리에게 어떤 분이신지 기억해야 합니다. 그래서 주님이 우리에게 주신 은혜…당연한 것이 아닌..하나님이 우리에게 배풀어 주신 은혜입니다. 모든 순간마다 이 은혜를 함께 기억합시다.
I’m sure all of you have experiences of distress in your life. How did we overcome them? That answer that you are thinking of is our testimony. For me through my experiences, my God is my rock. Let us all remember what God has done for us and who God is to us.
