13:1 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되

13:2 인자야 너는 이스라엘의 예언하는 선지자들에게 경고하여 예언하되 자기 마음대로 예언하는 자에게 말하기를 너희는 여호와의 말씀을 들으라

13:3 주 여호와의 말씀에 본 것이 없이 자기 심령을 따라 예언하는 어리석은 선지자에게 화가 있을진저

13:4 이스라엘아 너의 선지자들은 황무지에 있는 여우같으니라

13:5 너희 선지자들이 성 무너진 곳에 올라가지도 아니하였으며 이스라엘 족속을 위하여 여호와의 날에 전쟁에서 견디게 하려고 성벽을 수축하지도 아니하였느니라

13:6 여호와께서 말씀하셨다고 하는 자들이 허탄한 것과 거짓된 점괘를 보며 사람들에게 그 말이 확실히 이루어지기를 바라게 하거니와 그들은 여호와가 보낸 자가 아니라

13:7 너희가 말하기는 여호와의 말씀이라 하여도 내가 말한 것이 아닌즉 어찌 허탄한 묵시를 보며 거짓된 점괘를 말한 것이 아니냐

1 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say to those who prophesy out of their own imagination: ‘Hear the word of the Lord! 3 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! 4 Your prophets, Israel, are like jackals among ruins. 5 You have not gone up to the breaches in the wall to repair it for the people of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the Lord. 6 Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. Even though the Lord has not sent them, they say, “The Lord declares,” and expect him to fulfill their words. 7 Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say, “The Lord declares,” though I have not spoken?

13:8 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 너희가 허탄한 것을 말하며 거짓된 것을 보았은즉 내가 너희를 치리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

13:9 그 선지자들이 허탄한 묵시를 보며 거짓 것을 점쳤으니 내 손이 그들을 쳐서 내 백성의 공회에 들어오지 못하게 하며 이스라엘 족속의 호적에도 기록되지 못하게 하며 이스라엘 땅에도 들어가지 못하게 하리니 너희가 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라

8 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because of your false words and lying visions, I am against you, declares the Sovereign Lord. 9 My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.

13:10 이렇게 칠 것은 그들이 내 백성을 유혹하여 평강이 없으나 평강이 있다 함이라 어떤 사람이 담을 쌓을 때에 그들이 회칠을 하는도다

13:11 그러므로 너는 회칠하는 자에게 이르기를 그것이 무너지리라 폭우가 내리며 큰 우박덩이가 떨어지며 폭풍이 몰아치리니

13:12 그 담이 무너진즉 어떤 사람이 너희에게 말하기를 그것에 칠한 회가 어디 있느냐 하지 아니하겠느냐

10 “‘Because they lead my people astray, saying, “Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, 11 therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth. 12 When the wall collapses, will people not ask you, “Where is the whitewash you covered it with?”

13:13 그러므로 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 내가 분노하여 폭풍을 퍼붓고 내가 진노하여 폭우를 내리고 분노하여 큰 우박덩어리로 무너뜨리리라

13:14 회칠한 담을 내가 이렇게 허물어서 땅에 넘어뜨리고 그 기초를 드러낼 것이라 담이 무너진 즉 너희가 그 가운데에서 망하리니 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라

13:15 이와 같이 내가 내 노를 담과 회칠한 자에게 모두 이루고 또 너희에게 말하기를 담도 없어지고 칠한 자들도 없어졌다 하리니

13:16 이들은 예루살렘에 대하여 예언하기를 평강이 없으나 평강의 묵시를 보았다고 하는 이스라엘의 선지자들이니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

13 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury. 14 I will tear down the wall you have covered with whitewash and will level it to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it falls, you will be destroyed in it; and you will know that I am the Lord. 15 So I will pour out my wrath against the wall and against those who covered it with whitewash. I will say to you, “The wall is gone and so are those who whitewashed it, 16 those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her when there was no peace, declares the Sovereign Lord.”’

                  코로나 판데믹을 지나면서 많은 교회들이 대면 예배 대신 온라인 예배를 시작해야 했습니다. 그래서 많은 성도분들이 점점 유튜브로 예배 드리는 것이 익숙하게 되었지요. 그런데 유튜브로 예배를 드리다보니 내 유튜브 피드에 다른 교회 예배 영상이나 유명 교회 목사님의 설교가 올라오기 시작하는 겁니다. 그래서 나도 모르게 클릭을 하게 됩니다. 그래서 이렇게 설교를 듣다보니 어느새 나는 유튜브 알고리즘을 타고 그 다음 영상, 그 다음 영상을 보고 있어요. 자 그런데 문제가 뭐냐면 유튜브 알고리즘은 성경적인 분별력이 없어요. 그저 사용자가 좋아할만한 영상. 지금 아주 인기있는 핫한 영상들을 추천해줍니다. 그러다보니 어떤 일이 생기냐면 처음보는 무슨 전도자, 무슨 선교사 라는 사람들의 영상이 떠요. 그런데 조회수가 막 몇 십만이 넘어요. 알고 보니 요즘 새롭게 떠오르는 하나님의 사람이래요. 아주 영빨이 대단하대요. 뭐 안수기도만 하면 병이 낫고 귀신이 다 떠나간답니다. 얼마 전에는 하나님으로부터 직접 계시를 받아서 예언을 했는데 그게 다 맞았대요. 지금 세계 경제가 어떻게 돌아가게 될지를 예언하고 있으니 무슨 주식을 빨리 사야된대요. 여러분 제가 이런 말씀 왜 드리는 걸까요? 이게 남의 일이 아니라서 그래요. 저도 카톡으로 받아본 적이 있어요. 요즘 뜨는 뭐 누군데 한 번 들어나 보라고. 옛날에는 무슨 어디 집회에나 가야 들을 수 있었어요. 그런데 지금은 그냥 클릭 한 번이면 내 핸드폰에서 바로 재생됩니다. 너무 쉬워요. 그래서 더 현혹되기 쉽습니다. 미국에 있는 어느 한 이민교회는 이런 이단시비가 있는 사역자를 추종한 성도들로 인해서 교회가 분열되는 사태까지 벌어졌대요. 자 오늘 말씀은 이런 거짓 선지자들에 대한 말씀이에요. 하나님께서 이들에게 하시는 경고를 통하여 우리는 이들의 실체를 볼 수 있습니다. 오늘은 거짓 선지자들에 대한 진짜 하나님의 예언 이라는 제목으로 말씀을 전하기 원합니다.

As we went through the COVID pandemic, many churches had to switch from in-person worship to online services. Because of this, many of us became accustomed to watching worship services on YouTube. But as we watched, our YouTube feeds started recommending videos from other churches and sermons from famous pastors. And, almost without thinking, we would click on them. So, we'd listen to one sermon, and then another, and before we knew it, we were on a journey guided by the YouTube algorithm.

But here’s the problem: The YouTube algorithm has no biblical discernment. It only recommends videos that it thinks a user will like, or videos that are currently popular and trending. As a result, we start seeing videos from people we’ve never heard of before—some “evangelist,” some “missionary.” But their videos have hundreds of thousands of views. We find out they are the "newly emerging man of God," someone with amazing spiritual power. They say that if he just lays his hands on you, diseases are healed and demons flee. Just a few months ago, he received a direct revelation from God and made a prophecy that came true. Now, he’s prophesying about the global economy and telling people which stocks to buy.

Why am I telling you all of this? Because this isn't just someone else's story. I've received messages on KakaoTalk myself, saying, "Hey, this is the new popular guy, you should check him out." In the past, you would have to go to a special revival meeting to hear this kind of thing. But now, it's just one click away on our phones. It's too easy, and that's why we're so easily deceived. I've even heard of a Korean immigrant church in the U.S. that split because some of the members started following a ministry that was riddled with controversy and heresy.

Today's passage is about these very false prophets. Through God's warning to them, we can see their true nature. Today, I want to deliver a message titled: "A True Prophecy Against False Prophets."

                  첫번째, 거짓 선지자들은 자기 마음대로 예언하는 자들입니다. 3절 말씀을 함께 읽어보겠습니다. “주 여호와의 말씀에 본 것이 없이 자기 심령을 따라 예언하는 어리석은 선지자에게 화가 있을진저.” 저는 이 말씀이 하나님께서 거짓 선지자가 무엇인지 정확히 정의해 주신 것이라고 생각합니다. 첫번째, 그들은 본 것이 없습니다. 6절 말씀에 그들은 여호와가 보낸 자가 아니기 때문에 그들은 하나님으로부터 보고 들은 것이 없습니다. 두번째, 자기 심령을 따라 예언합니다. 이것은 2절에서 말하고 있는 자기 마음대로 예언하는 사람이라는 뜻이지요. 7절 말씀에 “너희가 말하기는 여호와의 말씀이라 하여도 내가 말한 것이 아닌즉” 즉, 하나님께서 말한 것이 아닌데 자기 마음대로 말해 놓고 그것이 하나님의 말씀이라고 주장하고 있는 것입니다. 세번째, 그들은 어리석습니다. 손바닥으로 하늘을 가리지요. 하나님께서 버젓이 살아계시는데 자기 마음대로 지껄이는 말이 하나님의 말씀이라고 사칭한다면 하나님께서 그들을 가만히 놔두시겠습니까? 하나님께서는 얼마나 분노하셨는지 오늘 말씀 6-9절까지 각 절마다 그들이 하나님의 말씀을 사칭하는 것을 반복하시며 이렇게 표현하십니다. “허탄한 묵시와 거짓된 점괘.” 그들이 하는 말은 새빨간 거짓말이라는 것입니다. 자 이렇게 “허탄한 묵시와 거짓된 점괘”를 선포하는 그들에게 하나님께서는 8절에 이렇게 말씀하십니다. 함께 읽어보겠습니다. “그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 너희가 허탄한 것을 말하며 거짓된 것을 보았은즉 내가 너희를 치리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라.” 자 앞에서 선포하셨습니다. 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. 무슨 말입니까? 니들이 니들 마음대로 하는 말이 여호와의 말씀이라구? 그래. 그러면 진짜 여호와의 말씀을 한 번 들어보아라. 내용은 아주 간단합니다. 내가 너희를 치리라. 하나님의 선전포고입니다. 그런데 끝맺음이 뭐에요? 주 여호와의 말씀이니라. 시작과 끝이 진짜 하나님의 말씀입니다. 그러면 이 말씀이 이루어질까요? 이루어지지 않을까요? 반드시 이루어지지요. 9절에서 하나님께서 그들을 어떻게 치실지 자세하게 설명하십니다. 이것이 바로 거짓 선지자들에 대한 진짜 하나님의 예언이며 경고인 것입니다.

First, False Prophets Prophesy from Their Own Hearts.

Let's read verse 3 together: "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!'" I believe this verse gives us God’s precise definition of a false prophet.

First, they have seen nothing. As verse 6 says, they were not sent by the LORD, so they have not seen or heard anything from God.

Second, they follow their own spirit. This means they prophesy out of their own desires, as mentioned in verse 2. Verse 7 says, "You say, 'The LORD declares,' when I have not spoken." In other words, they claim their own words are the words of God.

Third, they are foolish. They try to cover the sky with the palm of their hand. God is very much alive and well. Do you really think He would stand idly by while they make up whatever they want and claim it's His word? God is so angry that from verses 6-9, He repeatedly uses phrases to describe their lies: "false visions" and "deceitful divinations." Their words are nothing but outright lies.

So, to those who proclaim these "false visions and deceitful divinations," God says in verse 8, let's read it together: "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'Because of your false words and lying visions, I am against you,' declares the Sovereign LORD." God makes His declaration first: "This is what the Sovereign LORD says." What does that mean? You say that your words are the LORD's words? Okay, then listen to the real words of the LORD. The message is very simple: "I am against you." This is God's declaration of war. And how does the verse end? "Declares the Sovereign LORD." The beginning and the end of this statement are the true words of God. Will this word come true? It will. In verse 9, God goes on to explain how He will deal with them. This is the genuine prophecy and warning from God about the false prophets.

                  두번째, 거짓된 선지자들은 회칠하는 사람들입니다. 10절을 함께 읽어보겠습니다. “이렇게 칠 것은 그들이 내 백성을 유혹하여 평강이 없으나 평강이 있다 함이라 어떤 사람이 담을 쌓을 때에 그들이 회칠을 하는도다” 회칠한다, 좀 생소한 표현입니다. 고대에는 흰색 페인트가 없었으므로 하얀색을 띄는 석회를 허술한 담에 칠해서 깨끗하게 보이게 하는 것이지요. 이는 비유적으로 이들이 죄의 문제를 덮어서 사람들로 보지 못하게 하여, 아무 문제가 없는 것처럼 꾸미는 것을 말하는 것입니다. 하나님께서는 선지자들을 통하여 그들에게 죄에서 돌이키지 않으면 심판이 있을 것이라고 계속 경고하고 계시는데 그들은 하나님의 심판을 부정하며 평강이 있을 것이라고 사람들을 속이고 있는 것입니다. 동시대에 사역했던 예레미야 선지자도 동일한 메시지를 전하고 있지요. 예레미야 23:17을 보면 이렇게 말씀하십니다. “항상 그들이 나를 멸시하는 자에게 이르기를 너희가 평안하리라 여호와의 말씀이니라 하며” 하나님의 뜻을 자기 마음대로 지어내는 것도 모자라서 이제는 사람들이 하나님의 경고를 듣고 회개 할 수 있는 기회조차 박탈시키고 있습니다. 하나님을 대적하고 있지요. 하나님께서 분노하시는 것은 당연한 일일 것입니다. 11-15절까지 이 회칠한 담에 대한 하나님의 분노가 극에 달하십니다. 13절을 한번 보십시오. “그러므로 나 주 여호와가 말하노라” 하나님께서 선포하셨지요. “내가 분노하여… 내가 진노하여… 분노하여.” 하나님의 분노가 이 한 절의 말씀에 그대로 담겨 있습니다. 14절에서 회칠한 담을 허물고 그 기초를 드러낼 것이며 15절, 하나님의 분노가 담과 회칠한 자에게 모두 임하여 그들이 없어질 것이라고 말씀하십니다. 하나님께서는 이런 거짓 선지자들과 그들의 거짓말에 진노하십니다. 그들은 반드시 망하게 될 것입니다. 그것이 하나님의 말씀입니다.

Second, False Prophets Are Whitewashers.

Let's read verse 10 together: "Because they lead my people astray, saying, 'Peace,' when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash." "Whitewashing" is a somewhat unfamiliar term. In ancient times, because there was no white paint, they would use a white lime plaster to make a surface look clean. This is used metaphorically here to describe how they cover up the problem of sin, making it look as if there is no problem at all.

God repeatedly warned the people through the prophets that if they did not repent, there would be judgment. But the false prophets contradicted God's judgment and deceived the people by saying, "There will be peace." The prophet Jeremiah, who ministered in the same era, delivered the same message. Jeremiah 23:17 says: "They keep saying to those who despise me, 'The LORD says, you will have peace.'" They not only make up God's will on their own, but they also deprive people of the chance to hear God's warning and repent. They are standing in opposition to God. It is only natural that God would be furious with them.

From verses 11-15, God's wrath against this whitewashed wall reaches its peak. Look at verse 13. "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says..." God declares it. "In my wrath... in my anger... in my fury..." God's wrath is contained in just one verse. Verse 14 says He will tear down the whitewashed wall and expose its foundation. And in verse 15, God says His fury will fall on both the wall and the whitewashers, and they will be destroyed. God is angry with both the false prophets and their lies. They will surely be ruined. That is God's word.

                  말씀을 맺습니다. 거짓 선지자들은 자기 마음대로 예언하는 자들입니다. 그 뿐만이 아니라 그들은 사람들의 마음을 혹하게 하여 그들이 회개할 수 있는 기회조차 빼앗는 하나님의 분노를 일으키는 자들입니다. 오늘 이 거짓 선지자들에 대한 진짜 하나님의 예언은 분명한 것이었습니다. 하나님께서는 거짓 선지자들과 그들의 거짓말 모두에게 당신의 진노를 쏟으시겠다고 하십니다. 거짓 선지자들에게 현혹되지 마십시오. 진짜 하나님의 말씀을 분별하실 줄 아는 여러분 되시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원합니다.

In Conclusion

False prophets are those who prophesy from their own hearts. Not only that, but they are people who entice others and take away their chance to repent, which provokes God's fury. The true prophecy of God against these false prophets was clear. God says He will pour out His wrath on both the false prophets and their lies.

Do not be led astray by false prophets. May you all be people who can discern the true Word of God. I bless you in the name of the Lord.
