53:1 어리석은 자는 그의 마음에 이르기를 하나님이 없다 하도다 그들은 부패하며 가증한 악을 행함이여 선을 행하는 자가 없도다
1 The fool says in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, and their ways are vile;
there is no one who does good.
53:2 하나님이 하늘에서 인생을 굽어 살피사 지각이 있는 자와 하나님을 찾는 자가 있는가 보려 하신즉
53:3 각기 물러가 함께 더러운 자가 되고 선을 행하는 자 없으니 한 사람도 없도다
2 God looks down from heaven
on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.
3 Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.
53:4 죄악을 행하는 자들은 무지하냐 그들이 떡 먹듯이 내 백성을 먹으면서 하나님을 부르지 아니하는도다
53:5 그들이 두려움이 없는 곳에서 크게 두려워하였으니 너를 대항하여 진친 그들의 뼈를 하나님이 흩으심이라 하나님이 그들을 버리셨으므로 네가 그들에게 수치를 당하게 하였도다
4 Do all these evildoers know nothing?
They devour my people as though eating bread;
they never call on God.
5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
where there was nothing to dread.
God scattered the bones of those who attacked you;
you put them to shame, for God despised them.
53:6 시온에서 이스라엘을 구원하여 줄 자 누구인가 하나님이 자기 백성의 포로된 것을 돌이키실 때에 야곱이 즐거워하며 이스라엘이 기뻐하리로다
6 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
When God restores his people,
let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
세상의 시각에서 어리석은 자는 누구인가요? 그들은 지혜가 없는 사람들입니다. 그들은 다른 사람의 이익을 위해 이용되는 사람들입니다. 예를 들어, 22살 때 저는 친구의 차 대출 하는 것 위해서 제 소셜 번호를 사용했는데, 그 사람이 도망갔습니다. 이것은 아주 어리석은 일이죠. 또 예를 들어서 만약에 저의 직장에서 승진 기회를 다른 사람에게 내어주는 것도 어리석은 자가 됩니다.
하지만 성경에서는 어리석은 자는 누구인가요? 오늘의 성경구절에서는 하나님이 없다고 하는 사람들이 어리석은 자로 여겨진다고 말합니다. 1절을 보겠습니다: "어리석은 자는 그의 마음에 이르기를 하나님이 없다 하도다 그들은 부패하며 가증한 악을 행함이여 선을 행하는 자가 없도다."
In the world’s perspective, who are fools? They are the ones who are not smart. They are the ones who are used for the benefit of someone else’s good. For example, when I used my social security number when I was 22 to sign for someone else’s car loan payments and that person ran away, that would be considered foolish. Or if I give away an opportunity to be promoted to someone else in the company, that would also be considered foolish.
But, what does it say in the Bible about who fools are. In today’s scripture, it states that those who say there is no God are considered foolish. Let's look at verse 1: "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'"
하나님이 존재하지 않는다고 부인하는 사람들이 어리석은 자로 여겨지는 이유는 무엇일까요? 하나님이 없다고 믿고 살면 결국 자신이 인생의 주인이라고 생각하게 됩니다. 어제의 성경구절에서 보았던 도엑처럼, 어리석은 자들은 항상 자신의 생각, 욕망, 고집대로 살며 자신의 생각과 원하는 대로가 항상 옳은 방법이라고 믿습니다.
그러나 성경은 인간의 마음과 뜻에 대해 무엇이 말하고 있을까요? 예레미야 17:9는 "만물보다 거짓되고 심히 부패한 것은 마음이라 누가 능히 이를 알리요마는" 라고 말합니다. 예수님도 마가복음 7:18-19에서 우리에게 가르치시죠. "너희도 이렇게 깨달음이 없느냐 무엇이든지 밖에서 들어가는 것이 능히 사람을 더럽게 하지 못함을 알지 못하느냐. 이는 마음으로 들어가지 아니하고 배로 들어가 뒤로 나감이라 이러므로 모든 음식물을 깨끗하다 하시니라.
그러므로 만일 우리가 하나님을 인정하지 않고 그의 율법, 기준 및 계명에 따라 살지 않으면 결국 죄 안에서 살게 됩니다. 그것이 1절에서 "어리석은 자는 마음 속으로 '하나님이 없다' 하는구나. 그들은 썩어서 악하니 선을 행하는 사람이 없다"라고 말하는 이유입니다.
Why are those who deny the existence of God considered foolish? It's because living with the belief that there is no God ultimately leads one to think of themselves as the masters of their own lives. Like we saw Doeg from yesterday’s scriptures, fools live according to their own thoughts, desires, and stubbornness, believing that what they believe and want is always the right way.
But what does Scripture say about the human heart and mind? Jeremiah 17:9 tells us, "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" Jesus also teaches us in Mark 7:18-19, "What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly."
Therefore, if we do not acknowledge God and live according to His laws, standards, and commandments, we end up living in sin. That's why verse 1 states, "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.' They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good."
그러나 사람들은 하나님이 존재하지 않는다고 생각하며 사는 이유는 자신의 죄에 찔리면서 살기 원하지 않기 때문입니다. 다시 말해, 그들은 자신의 욕망대로 살고 싶어합니다. 그들은 본인의 신이 되기를 원합니다. 따라서 2-3절에서는 "하나님이 하늘에서 인생을 굽어 살피사 지각이 있는 자와 하나님을 찾는 자가 있는가 보려 하신즉 각기 물러가 함께 더러운 자가 되고 선을 행하는 자 없으니 한 사람도 없도다"라고 한탄하는 것입니다.
그러나 우리는 이런 면에서 지혜로운 사람들입니다. 우리는 하나님을 믿고 그를 순종하고, 그의 말씀과 믿음으로 살기를 원합니다. 우리는 하나님의 존재를 우리의 마음, 생각 및 인생의 모든 순간에 인정하고 그의 뜻대로 살기를 원합니다.
어리석은 자들은 하나님이 없다고 생각하며 자신의 욕망과 감정에 따라 죄를 지으면서 하나님을 찾지도 부르지도 않습니다. 4절은 "죄악을 행하는 자들은 무지하냐 그들이 떡 먹듯이 내 백성을 먹으면서 하나님을 부르지 아니하는도다."라고 기록 되어있습니다.
However, people live denying the existence of God because they want to live committing sins without any guilt in their conscience. In other words, they want to live according to their own desires. They want to be their own gods. So, verses 2-3 lament, "The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one."
You and I, on the other hand, are wise in that regard. We believe in God and strive to live in obedience to Him, according to His word and through faith. We desire to acknowledge God's presence in our hearts, thoughts, and every moment of our lives, and to live according to His will.
Fools are those who think there is no God and live committing sins according to their own desires and emotions, but they do not seek or call upon God. Verse 4 says, "Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on God.”
얼마나 많은 기독교인들이 하나님을 알고 믿지만 기도하지 않을까요? 물론 겉으로는 기도하는 것 같습니다. 주일날에 예배도 참석합니다. 그러나 오늘날의 사회에서는 기도하는 참된 그리스도인을 찾기가 드뭅니다. 그러나 진정으로 하나님을 알기를 원하며 기도하는 여러분을 축복하며, 우리 한사랑교회는 하나님께 기도하기 위해 여기에 나온 지혜로운 사람들인 줄 믿습니다.
2절은 "하나님이 하늘에서 인생을 굽어 살피사 지각이 있는 자와 하나님을 찾는 자가 있는가 보려 하신즉"라고 말합니다. 우리는 지혜로운 사람들 중 하나가 되기를 원합니다. 우리는 하나님의 존재를 인정하며, 모든 순간 하나님의 이름을 불러, 그의 도움을 찾고, 그의 뜻대로 기도하기를 원합니다.
제5절은 "그들이 두려움이 없는 곳에서 크게 두려워하였으니 너를 대항하여 진친 그들의 뼈를 하나님이 흩으심이라 하나님이 그들을 버리셨으므로 네가 그들에게 수치를 당하게 하였도다"라고 말합니다. 하나님을 부인하는 사람들, 하나님을 두려워하지 않는 사람들은 위험 하지 않은 곳에서도 두려움을 느낄 것입니다. 그들은 부자이더라도 불안과 걱정 속에 살 것입니다. 그러나 하나님을 두려워하며 예배하는 지혜로운 그리스도인들은 세상을 두려워하지 않습니다. 그들은 불안과 걱정 속에서 살지 않고, 천국에서 오는 기쁨과 평화와 용기 속에서 삽니다.
How many Christians do you think claim to know and believe in God, yet do not pray? Of course, on the outside, they seem to pray. They attend worship services on Sundays. However, in today’s society, it's rare to find believers who truly pray with all their hearts, seeking God's voice and His will in their prayers. In that way, I applaud you. You are the wise ones who have come out here to pray to God.
Verse 2 says, "God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God." You and I desire to be among the wise. We want to live acknowledging God's presence, calling upon His name in every moment, seeking His help, and praying according to His will.
Verse 5 says, "But they will be terrified, for God is with those who obey him." Those who deny God, those who do not fear Him, will live in fear even in places where there is no danger. They live in anxiety and worry, even if they are wealthy and prosperous. However, the wise believers who fear and worship God do not fear the world. They do not live in anxiety and worry but in the joy, peace, and courage that come from heaven.
다윗을 보십시오, 요셉을 보십시오, 다니엘을 보십시오, 바울을 보십시오, 사도들을 보십시오. 우리가 같은 종류의 삶을 살지 않고 기적들을 잘 못 보는 이유는 매우 간단합니다. 그것은 우리가 하나님이 존재하지 않는 것처럼 살기 때문입니다, 비록 우리가 그가 존재한다고 말하더라도 말입니다.
우리는 참으로 하나님을 중심으로 한 삶을 살기를 원합니다. 우리의 말과 행동에서 하나님의 존재를 나타내는 믿음의 삶을 살고, 기쁨과 감사와 찬양으로 넘치며 이 시대의 지혜로운 사람들이 되기를 원합니다.
Look at David, look at Joseph, look at Daniel, look at Paul, look at the apostles. The reason that we cannot live the same kind of life, the reason that we seem to see no miracles happening, is very simple. It is because we live as if God does not exist, even though we say He does.
Let us truly live a life that is centered around God. Let us live a life of faith that manifests God's presence in our words and actions, and overflow with joy, gratitude, and praise as the wise people of this generation.
