9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping. 11 When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe it.
16:12 그 후에 그들 중 두 사람이 걸어서 시골로 갈 때에 예수께서 다른 모양으로 그들에게 나타나시니

12 Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country. 13 These returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.
16:14 그 후에 열한 제자가 음식 먹을 때에 예수께서 그들에게 나타나사 그들의 믿음 없는 것과 마음이 완악한 것을 꾸짖으시니 이는 자기가 살아난 것을 본 자들의 말을 믿지 아니함일러라
14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
16:15 또 이르시되 너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라
16:16 믿고 세례를 받는 사람은 구원을 얻을 것이요 믿지 않는 사람은 정죄를 받으리라
16:17 믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며
16:18 뱀을 집어올리며 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며 병든 사람에게 손을 얹은즉 나으리라 하시더라
15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
16:19 주 예수께서 말씀을 마치신 후에 하늘로 올려지사 하나님 우편에 앉으시니라
16:20 제자들이 나가 두루 전파할새 주께서 함께 역사하사 그 따르는 표적으로 말씀을 확실히 증언하시니라
19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
기술은 엄청난 발전을 이루어 가고 있습니다. 인공지능(AI)이 이미 급부상하고 있음을 아실 것입니다. 로봇 또한 증가하고 있습니다. 2019년에는 이미 로봇이 불교 예배를 이끈 적이 있었습니다. 작년 초에는 독일에서 몇몇 교회가 목사님들이 부족하여 ChatGPT를 사용하여 예배를 진행했습니다. 이러한 유형의 예배에 대한 평가는 분분합니다. 일부 사람들은 결국 우리 모두가 로봇 목사님들에게 이끌릴 것이라고 말합니다. 다른 일부 사람들은 메시지가 개인적이지 않고 관련성이 없다고 말합니다. 더 많은 사람들은 이제 이 사회가 인공지능과 로봇에 의해 이끌릴 것이라고 말합니다. 인공지능이 급부상하는 것뿐만 아니라 의학도 크게 발전했습니다. 고급 의약품과 수술로 인해 사람들은 더 오래 살 수 있게 되었습니다. 어떤 사람들은 최대 120세까지 살 수 있다고 합니다.
그러나 얼마나 많은 과학, 기술, 의학이 발전하더라도 인간의 죽음 문제는 여전히 해결되지 않습니다. 현대 의학은 삶을 연장시킬 수 있지만, 죽음을 완전히 막을 수는 없습니다. 따라서 죽음의 가능성은 우리 모두 100%입니다. 그러나 예수님은 그런 가능성을 뛰어넘어 부활하셨습니다. 오늘 우리는 예수님이 죽음에서 부활한 후에 즉시 행하신 일을 보게 됩니다.
Technology have vastly improved over the years. As you are aware AI (Artificial Intelligence) has already been on the rise. Robots have been on the rise. In 2019, there was already a robot who led a Buddhist service. Earlier last year in Germany, due to a low number of pastors, couple churches led services using ChatGPT. There are mixed reviews about this type of service. Some people say we are all eventually going to be led by robot pastors. Some people say that the messages are not personable and relatable. More and more, this society is going to be led by AI and robots. Not only is AI on the rise, but medicine also have vastly improved. People are able to live longer due to advanced medicine and procedures. They say a person at a maximum can live up to 120 years.
However, no matter how much science, technology, or medicine advances, the problem of human mortality remains unresolved. While modern medicine can prolong life, it cannot prevent death completely. Therefore, the probability of death remains 100% for both you and me. However, Jesus defeated the odds and resurrected. And today we see what Jesus did immediately after resurrecting from death.
오늘의 성경에는 "초고 원본과 일부 다른 고대 증인은 9-20절을 가지고 있지 않다"는 참고가 있습니다. 일부 학자들은 마가복음이 원래 16:8에서 끝났다고 믿습니다. 따라서 9-20절은 후에 추가된 것으로 여겨집니다. 그러나 오늘의 내용이 다른 복음서에서 일어난 일과 유사하므로 이를 복음에서 제외할 이유는 없어 보입니다. 그래서 오늘은 이 구절을 함께 살펴 보겠습니다.
9절에서 예수님은 먼저 일곱 귀신을 쫓아냈던 막달라 마리아를 만납니다. 왜 그가 먼저 막달라 마리아를 만났을까요? 예수님은 막달라 마리아 대신 그의 어머니 마리아, 베드로, 요한 또는 다른 제자 중 누구든지 만날 수 있었습니다. 그러나 예수님은 그렇게 하지 않았습니다. 왜냐하면 막달라 마리아는 가장 많이 예수님을 사랑했기 때문입니다. 이 사랑은 단순한 인간적인 정이 아닙니다. 이 사랑은 예수님이 주님이시라는 것을 인식하고 주님을 사랑하고 섬기는 것입니다. 일곱 귀신이 마리아를 괴롭힐 때, 얼마나 괴로웠을까요. 그러나 예수님은 그녀를 치료하고 그녀의 삶을 변화시켰습니다.
누가 예수님을 가장 사랑합니까? 예수님의 말씀과 능력에 의해 변화된 사람이 주님을 사랑합니다. 변화된 사람은 주님을 사랑합니다. 예수님의 사랑은 사람들을 변화시키고, 그 사랑을 경험하고 변화된 사람들은 마음을 다하여 주님을 사랑하고 섬깁니다.
There is a note in the Bible for today’s scriptures and it says, " The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have verses 9–20." Some scholars believe that the Gospel of Mark originally ended at 16:8. Therefore, verses 9-20 are considered later additions. However, since today’s content is similar to what happens in the other Gospels, there seems to be no reason to exclude it from the Gospel. So today, let's examine this passage together.
In verse 9, Jesus first met with Mary Magdalene who have been previously possessed by seven demons. Why did he meet Mary Magdalene first? Jesus could have met his mother Mary, or Peter, John, or any of the other disciples. But he didn’t. It is because Mary Magdalene truly loved Jesus. This love is not just any human affection. This love is about recognizing that Jesus is Lord and loving Him and serving Him. When seven demons possessed Mary, imagine how miserable her life must have been. However, Jesus healed her and transformed her life.
Who loves Jesus the most? It's the person who has been transformed by His words and power. A transformed person loves the Lord. Jesus' love changes people, and those who experience that love, and are transformed by it, love and serve the Lord with all their hearts.
주님을 사랑합니까? 만약 그렇다면, 어떤 마음가짐으로 예배에 참석하십니까? 그리고 어떻게 예배하십니까? 졸린가요? 지루한가요? 물론 가끔은 설교가 길어서 졸리거나 지루할 수 있습니다. 그러나 매주 예배 중에 자주 잠이 들거나 지루함을 느끼고 주님을 그냥 말로 사랑한다고 주장한다면, 그것은 거짓말이 아닐까요?
사람들은 자기가 사랑하는 사람 앞에서는 잠들거나 지루하지 않습니다. 그것은 그들이 예수님을 사랑하지 않기 때문입니다. 가끔은 피곤하고 졸릴 수 있지만, 진정으로 사랑하는 사람은 깨어 있으려고 노력합니다. 그래서 우리는 예배 중에도 주님에게 집중하기 위해 계속 노력해야 합니다. 사랑하는 사람들은 자기가 사랑하는 사람 앞에서 이런 노력을 합니다.
그러나 제자들은 실제로 마리아가 예수님을 만났다는 것을 믿지 않았습니다. 그리고 14절에서 예수님은 그들이 자기가 실제로 부활하셨다는 것에 대한 믿음이 부족했다고 책망했습니다.
Do you love the Lord? If you do, with what mindset did you come to worship? And how do you worship? Are you sleepy? Bored? Of course, sometimes the sermon may be lengthy, and you may feel drowsy or bored. But if you habitually fall asleep or feel bored during worship every week and claim to love the Lord, isn't that a lie?
One does not fall asleep or get bored in front of someone they love. It's because they don't love them. Occasionally, you may feel tired and drowsy, but someone who loves dearly makes an effort to stay awake. So, we must continue to make an effort to focus on the Lord even during worship. Those who love someone make such efforts in front of their beloved.
However, the disciples did not believe that Mary actually met Jesus. And in verse 14, Jesus rebuked them for their lack of faith that He has indeed risen.
만약 제가 그 자리에 있었다면, "너희들 나를 버리고 감히 도망가? 알았어, 나도 너희들을 포기할게. 그냥 고향으로 다 돌아가. 새로운 제자들과 함께 다시 시작할거다.“라고 말했을 것입니다.
그러나 예수님은 그러지 않고 제자들에게 새로운 사명을 주셨습니다. 그들에게 모든 세상으로 가서 만민에게 복음을 전할 것을 명령했습니다. 왜냐하면 십자가에 죽어 다시 살아난 예수 그리스도를 믿는 것 외에는 구원받을 방법이 없기 때문입니다.
우리 모두 함께 15-17절을 읽어 보겠습니다.
또 이르시되 너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라 믿고 세례를 받는 사람은 구원을 얻을 것이요 믿지 않는 사람은 정죄를 받으리라 믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며 뱀을 집어올리며 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며 병든 사람에게 손을 얹은즉 나으리라 하시더라
If it were up to me, I would say, "Hey, you all abandoned me and ran away? Alright, I'll give up on you too. Just go back to your hometowns. I will start over with new disciples."
However, Jesus gave his disciples a new mission. He told them to go into all the world and preach the gospel to all nations. This is because the only way for humans to be saved is to believe in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again.
Let’s read verses 15-18 all together.
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
여기서 세 가지가 언급됩니다: 새 방언으로 말하고, 뱀을 집어올리고, 독을 마셔도 해를 받지 않을거다. 복음이 들어오면, 삶에서 웃은 적이 없는 사람들이 웃기 시작하고, 삶에서 한 번도 울지 않은 사람들이 눈물을 흘립니다. 그들의 마음은 완전히 치유됩니다.
그리고 뱀을 잡는다는 것은 의도적으로 뱀을 다루는 것이 괜찮다는 뜻이 아닙니다. 이것은 복음을 전파하는 동안 이러한 위험을 마주치더라도 주님이 우리를 보호하실 것이라는 것을 의미합니다. 사도 바울은 로마로 향하던 중 배가 침몰하여 멜리데섬에 이르렀습니다. 거기서 그는 뱀에 물렸지만 아무 해가 없었습니다.
마찬가지로 독을 마셔도 해를 입지 않는다는 것은 모든 사람이 일부러 치명적인 독을 마셔도 괜찮다는 것이 아닙니다. 이것은 복음을 전파하는 동안 이러한 위험에 노출되더라도 주님이 우리를 보호하실 것이라는 것을 의미합니다. 따라서 이것은 "표적"의 약속입니다.
Here, three things are mentioned: speaking in new tongues, picking up snakes, and drinking deadly poison without harm. When the gospel enters, people who have never laughed in their lives begin to laugh, and people who have never cried in their lives shed tears. Their hearts will completely be healed.
And when it says they will pick up snakes, it doesn't mean it's okay to deliberately handle snakes. It means that even if you encounter such danger while preaching the gospel, the Lord will protect you. The Apostle Paul was sailing to Rome but the ship sank, and he went to the island of Malta. There, he was bitten by a snake but suffered no harm.
Similarly, not being harmed by drinking poison does not mean that everyone will be fine if they intentionally drink deadly poison. It means that even if you fall into such danger while preaching the gospel, the Lord will protect you. So, it's a promise of "signs."
"표적"은 예수님의 영광을 나타내는 기적을 의미합니다. 이러한 기적은 복음을 전파하고 예수님의 영광을 나타냅니다. 이러한 기적은 복음을 전파하고 예수님의 영광을 나타내는 사람들에게 일어납니다. 단지 복음을 전파하고 선포함으로써 하나님께서 모든 다른 위험으로부터 보호하실 것이므로 두려워하거나 걱정하지 마십시오.

예수님께서 하늘로의 승천은 그의 구원 사역의 완성을 나타내며, 성령과 복음의 새 시대의 시작을 의미합니다. 하나님 우편에서 예수님은 우리의 대제사장 역할을 하시며 우리의 죄를 씻으시고, 성령을 부어주시며 죄를 이기시고 사탄의 권세를 무너뜨리시고 우리를 구원하십니다
"Signs" refer to miracles that reveal the glory of Jesus. These miracles occur to those who preach the gospel and reveal the glory of Jesus. It means that such miracles occur to those who proclaim the gospel and reveal the glory of Jesus. Just proclaiming the gospel and declaring it will be protected by God from all other dangers, so do not be afraid or worried.
After giving these amazing promises, Jesus ascends to heaven.
"After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it." (Verses 19-20)
Jesus' ascension to heaven signifies the completion of His work of salvation and the beginning of a new era, the era of the Holy Spirit and the gospel. From the right hand of God, Jesus serves as our High Priest, washing away our sins, pouring out the Holy Spirit upon us, overcoming sin, and defeating the power of Satan.
지금도 예수님은 하나님 우편에서 우리를 위해 기도하십니다. 우리는 주님의 말씀의 권능으로 복음을 전파하고, 죄와 사탄의 권세를 이기고, 많은 사람들을 구원하기 위해 노력해야 합니다.
오늘 마지막으로 한번 더 묻겠습니다. 주님을 사랑하십니까? 아멘!
주님을 사랑하는 만큼, 우리의 행동도 주님을 위한 그 사랑을 반영해야 합니다. 우리는 항상 주님을 섬겨야 합니다. 우리는 마음을 다하여 예배할 뿐만 아니라 더 많은 사람들을 그리스도께로 인도해야 합니다. 우리가 안으로도 밖으로도 그리스도인이 되기를 기도합니다. 다른 사람들도 믿을 수 있도록 격려와 전도를 멈추지 맙시다. 우리는 우리가 있는 자리에 안주하지 말고 멈추지 말고 계속하여 우리 삶의 모든 측면에서 예수님을 추구하시기를 바랍니다.
Even now, Jesus continues to pray for us from the right hand of God. We must proclaim the gospel with the power of the Lord's message, defeating sin and the power of Satan, and leading many people to salvation.
Let me ask you for one last time today. Do you love the Lord? Amen!
Since we love the Lord, our actions also must reflect on that love for the Lord. We need to always serve the Lord. We need to not only worship with all of our hearts but we also need to bring more and more people to Christ. I pray that we will be Christians inside and out and also encourage others to be believers. Let us not just be comfortable with where we are at but continue to pursue Jesus in all aspect of our lives.
