2:37 그들이 이 말을 듣고 마음에 찔려 베드로와 다른 사도들에게 물어 이르되 형제들아 우리가 어찌 할꼬 하거늘
37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
2:38 베드로가 이르되 너희가 회개하여 각각 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 받고 죄 사함을 받으라 그리하면 성령의 선물을 받으리니
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
2:39 이 약속은 너희와 너희 자녀와 모든 먼 데 사람 곧 주 우리 하나님이 얼마든지 부르시는 자들에게 하신 것이라 하고
39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
2:40 또 여러 말로 확증하며 권하여 이르되 너희가 이 패역한 세대에서 구원을 받으라 하니
40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
2:41 그 말을 받은 사람들은 세례를 받으매 이 날에 신도의 수가 삼천이나 더하더라
41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
2:42 그들이 사도의 가르침을 받아 서로 교제하고 떡을 떼며 오로지 기도하기를 힘쓰니라
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
2:43 사람마다 두려워하는데 사도들로 말미암아 기사와 표적이 많이 나타나니
43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.
2:44 믿는 사람이 다 함께 있어 모든 물건을 서로 통용하고
44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.
2:45 또 재산과 소유를 팔아 각 사람의 필요를 따라 나눠 주며
45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.
2:46 날마다 마음을 같이하여 성전에 모이기를 힘쓰고 집에서 떡을 떼며 기쁨과 순전한 마음으로 음식을 먹고
46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
2:47 하나님을 찬미하며 또 온 백성에게 칭송을 받으니 주께서 구원 받는 사람을 날마다 더하게 하시니라
47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
목회자인 나에게 가장 큰 자산은 되는 교회를 현장에서 목격한 것입니다.
30명으로 시작한 교회가 10년 만에 만 명이 넘는 교회로 성장하는 현장에서 모든 것을 목격했습니다. 1년에 천 명씩 늘어난 셈이니 엄청난 은혜요! 부흥이었습니다.
그런데 말입니다! 개척교회가 3000명으로 시작한다면 어떻습니까? 그야말로 이것은 성장이 아니라, 폭발! 빅뱅입니다. 이 땅에 교회는 대폭발이라고 할 수 있을만한 부흥으로 탄생했습니다.
이 땅에 탄생한 첫 번째 교회의 시작이야기와 교인들의 삶의 이야기가 오늘 본문입니다.
The greatest asset to me as a pastor is witnessing a prospering church on-site. I witnessed everything in a scene where a church that started with 30 people grew to over 10,000 people in 10 years. It's an amazing grace to see it increase by a thousand people each year! It was a revival.
But let me tell you this! What if a newly built church started with 3,000 people? That would be not just growth but an explosion! It would be a big bang. The church was born with a revival that could be called a massive explosion on this land.
The story of the first church born on this land and the stories of its members' lives are the main scripture for today.
마음이 찔려 구원을 받다 (37~42절)
베드로 사도의 설교로 그들이 이 말을 듣고 마음에 찔리는(37) 역사가 일어났습니다.
칼빈은 다음과 같이 말했습니다.
하나님의 말씀이 검과 같이(히 4:12) 임한 경우이다.
마음의 찔림에 복종의 의지가 첨가되지 않으면 안 된다.
칼빈이 말한 바에 의하면 하나님의 말씀은 검이기에 잘만 전하면 당연히 찔림이 있다는 것입니다.
중요한 것은 그 찔림에 대한 성도 각자의 반응입니다.
어떠한 경우에는 오히려 이를 갈기도하고 심한 경우에는 잡아 죽이려고도 합니다.
그런데 오늘 본문의 성도들은 오히려 형제들아 우리가 어찌할꼬 라고 반응했습니다.
그러자 베드로가 회개를 종용했고 결과는 초대교회의 빅뱅이 일어난 것입니다.
Pierced Hearts Receiving Salvation (Verses 37-42)
Upon hearing the sermon by Apostle Peter, when the people heard this, they were cut to the heart (Verse 37).
John Calvin said the following:
It is when God's Word comes upon them like a double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).
The will of obedience must be added to the piercing of the heart.
According to what Calvin said, since God's Word is a sword itself, if it is delivered well, it naturally pierces hearts. The important thing is the individual reactions of the saints to that piercing. In some cases, they rather grind their teeth, and in severe cases, they try to catch and kill them. However, the saints in today's passage reacted differently, saying, "Brothers, what shall we do?" Then Peter exhorted them to repent, and the result was the big bang of the early church.
여기서 그들이 누구입니까? 마음에 찔린 것을 보니, 그들은 바로 디아스포라가 포함된 유대인들입니다. 그들 가운데에는 한달 반 전에 예수를 죽이라고 소리 친 자들도 상당수 있습니다.
그런데 그들이 회개하는 역사가 일어난 것입니다. 이것은 성령의 역사하심을 빼고는 설명할 수 없습니다. 사람은 성령의 역사하심이 아니면 자신의 죄를 들여다볼 수 없습니다.
성령의 의한 찔림과 그에 대한 합당한 반응은 우리를 살게 합니다.
그러면 신앙이 좋아지면 맨날 괴롭고 죄책감만 느끼는 것일까요? 아닙니다.
진리가 우리를 자유케 하십니다. 진정한 자유는 하고 싶은 것도 안 할 수 있는 자유, 안하고 싶은 것 할 수 있는 자유입니다. 이러한 성령의 역사는 구원을 이루고 교회를 세우셨습니다.
이 구원은 유대인의 것만이 아니라 예수를 구주로 고백하는 모든 자의 것입니다.
그렇다면 구원이란 무엇일까요? 그것은 죄 사함을 받고 예수 믿는 것, 천국에 가는 것, 타락 전 또는 그 이상의 상태로 돌아가는 회복을 의미합니다. 이렇게 구원을 받은 자의 수가 그 날 하루에만 삼천명이 되었습니다. 놀라운 성령의 역사입니다!
So, who were they? Seeing their pierced hearts, they were none other than the Jews, including the diaspora. Among them, there were many who had shouted for Jesus to be crucified just a month and a half ago. However, the phenomenon of their repentance occurred. This cannot be explained without the work of the Holy Spirit. Without the work of the Holy Spirit, a person cannot examine their own sins. The piercing of heart by the Holy Spirit and our appropriate response to it lead us to life.
So does that mean that when our faith improves, we constantly feel troubled and burdened by guilt? No, it doesn't. The truth sets us free. True freedom is the freedom to do what we want and the freedom not to do what we don't want. This work of the Holy Spirit has accomplished salvation and established the church. This salvation belongs not only to the Jews but to all who confess Jesus as their Savior.
Then, what is salvation? It means receiving forgiveness of sins, believing in Jesus, going to heaven, and being restored to the state before or beyond the fall. This is the salvation that the Holy Spirit accomplished, and as a result, three thousand people were saved in a single day. It is an amazing work of the Holy Spirit!
구원 성도의 삶 (43~47절)
구원받은 성도들은 가장 먼저 말씀에 대한 가르침을 받았고, 서로 교제하며, 떡을 떼고(성찬), 오로지 기도하기에 힘을 쏟았습니다. 이것을 좀 더 자세하게 묘사한 것이 43~47절입니다.
초대교회 성도들의 특징을 한마디로 표현하면 성령의 두 바퀴라고 표현할 수 있습니다.
마차의 두 바퀴가 고르지 않으면 똑바로 갈 수 없듯이 교회가 잘 굴러가려면 건강하고 바른 두 바퀴가 필요합니다. 교회의 두 바퀴는 무엇일까요?
먼저는 예배입니다. 이것은 대그룹 모임을 말하며, 가르침, 기도, 성전에 모임으로 표현되었습니다.
교회의 부흥을 가져오는 첫 번째 바퀴는 예배입니다. 이것은 인생의 창조 목적이기도 합니다.
릭 워렌은 목적이 이끄는 삶에서 인생의 첫 번째 목적을 우리는 하나님의 기쁨을 위해서 계획되었다 라고 말합니다. 그리고 하나님의 기쁨은 바로 예배입니다.
미국의 30대 대통령 캘빈 쿨리지는 사람이 예배하기 시작할 때부터 비로소 성장한다 말했습니다.
무엇보다도 중요하고 앞서는 것이 예배입니다. 세계에서 성장하는 모든 교회의 공통된 특징은 은혜와 감격이 살아있는 예배였습니다. 그렇다면 살아있는 예배, 감격이 있는 예배는 어떻게 이루어질까요?
The Lives of Saved Saints (Verses 43-47)
The saved saints were first taught the Word, fellowshipped with one another, broke bread (communion), and devoted themselves to prayer. This is further described in verses 43-47.
If we were to summarize the characteristics of the early church saints in one word, we could say they were the "two wheels of the Holy Spirit."
Just as a chariot cannot go straight if its two wheels are not aligned, for a church to roll well, it needs healthy and proper wheels. What are the two wheels of the church then?
Firstly, it is worship. This refers to the large-group gathering and is expressed through teaching, prayer, and meeting in the sanctuary.
The first wheel that brings revival to the church is worship. In his book, “The Purpose Driven Life”, pastor Rick Warren says, "We were planned for God's pleasure," and God's pleasure is worship.
Calvin Coolidge, the 30th President of the United States, said “it is only when men begin to worship that they begin to grow.”
Above all, worship is the most important and comes first. The common characteristic of all growing churches around the world was vibrant and awe-inspiring worship. So, how can we have that living worship, worship filled with awe?
하나님은 영이시니 예배하는 자가 영과 진리로 예배할지니라 (요 4:24)
"God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24).
영은 성령을 진리는 말씀 되신 예수를 의미합니다. 둘 중에 하나로 결여되면 그것은 잘못된 예배요, 실패한 예배입니다. 요한복음에 등장하는 사마리아인들의 그리심산 예배는 진리가 결여된 이단적인 열정만 가득한 예배였습니다. 또한 예루살렘 유대인들의 예배는 간절함과 열정이 결여된 영이 없는 전통에 갇혀 있는 예배였습니다.
예배는 하나님의 것으로 성령의 충만과 말씀의 충만한 은혜가 필요합니다. 하나님이 영광 받으심으로 말미암아 죽으려던 사람이 손에 든 약봉지를 내려놓고, 증오에 찬 사람이 손에서 총을 내려놓고, 삶에 무게에 눌려 주저 앉아 울던 사람이 일어나 춤을 추는, 어색했던 관계가 서로 안아주는 관계로 변하는 예배! 우리가 갈망해야 하는 예배는 하나님만 높이고 그 하나님의 생명을 경험하는 예배여야 합니다.
Spirit refers to the Holy Ghost, and truth refers to Jesus, who became the Word. If either one is lacking, it becomes false worship, and a failed worship. The Samaritans' worship on Mount Gerizim, as mentioned in the Gospel of John, was a heretical worship filled only with passionate zeal lacking in truth. Likewise, the worship of the Jews in Jerusalem was trapped in a tradition devoid of earnestness and passion, lacking the Spirit.
Worship belongs to God and requires the fullness of the Spirit and the abundant grace of the Word. Worship that causes someone who was about to die with a drug overdose to put down the bottle, someone filled with hatred to lay down their gun, and someone burdened by the weight of life to rise up and dance (mourning to dancing), where awkward relationships turn into embracing each other! The worship we should long for is one that exalts God alone and allows us to experience His life.
다음은 구역입니다. 이것은 소그룹을 말하며, 서로 교제, 떡을 뗌, 집에서(46) 로 표현되었습니다.
물론 소그룹의 주기능은 소그룹만이 가지는 특징을 더욱 살리는 것입니다.
그것은 대그룹에서는 결코 할 수 없는 성도간의 교제입니다. 대표적인 소그룹은 구역입니다.
사람은 예배를 통해서 하나님의 임재, 은혜를 경험하면 그것을 나누고 싶은 욕구가 생깁니다.
나의 이야기를 누군가에게 할 수 있는 신뢰받는 지지그룹이 있다는 것은 축복입니다.
또 너무 힘들면 위로 받고 싶은 욕구가 생깁니다. 외롭고 배고프면 함께 밥 먹고 싶은 욕구가 있는 것이 인간이고 이것을 해결할 수 있는 것이 소그룹입니다.
건강하게 성장하는 교회들의 공통된 특징은 예배와 더불어 소그룹의 건강함 입니다.
그리고 소그룹의 건강함은 바로 제자훈련 그리고 중간리더들의 수준과도 연결되어 있습니다.
소그룹의 또 다른 특징은 나눔입니다. 초대교회는 유무상통의 축복(44~45)이 있었습니다.
이것은 결코 그냥 되어지는 것이 아닙니다. 살아있는 예배의 결과로 볼 수 있습니다.
사람은 죄성이 있어서 나의 가진 것을 누군가에게 억지로 주려면 문제가 발생합니다. 제일 좋은 방법은 예수 충만, 사랑 충만, 예배의 감격에 빠지는 것입니다. 그러면 자동으로 나눔이 됩니다.
The next aspect is "Guyeok" (cell), which refers to small groups. It is expressed as fellowship, breaking bread (communion), and meeting in homes (Acts 2:46).
Of course, the primary function of small groups is to enhance the unique characteristics that only small groups possess. It is the fellowship among believers that cannot be achieved in large groups. A representative example of a small group is "Guyeok."
When people experience the presence of God and His grace through worship, they naturally develop a desire to share it with others. Having a trustworthy support group where we can share our stories is a blessing. When we are going through difficult times, we desire comfort. When we feel lonely and hungry, we desire to share a meal together. These are inherent human desires, and small groups provide a means to fulfill them.
A common characteristic of healthy growing churches is the combination of vibrant worship and healthy small groups. The health of small groups is directly linked to discipleship training and the level of mid-level leaders. Another characteristic of small groups is the spirit of sharing. The early church experienced the blessing of "having all things in common" (Acts 4:44-45). However, this does not happen automatically; it is the result of vibrant worship. When a person is filled with the abundance of Jesus, love, and the excitement of worship, sharing naturally occurs.
교회의 부흥을 꿈꾸는 우리들이 해야 할 것은 예배와 소그룹에 힘을 쏟는 것입니다.
이것은 교회가 해야 하는 가장 기본적인 행위입니다. 교회가 살아야 나의 가정이 삽니다.
가정과 나라의 쇠퇴는 교회의 쇠퇴와 결코 무관하지 않습니다.
예배를 통해 영혼의 회복을 경험합시다.
그리고 그 은혜로 서로 사랑하는 한사랑교회, 성도, 가정되시기 진심으로 기원합니다.
As we dream of the revival of the church, what we need to do is pour our efforts into worship and small groups. This is the most fundamental action that the church should take. When the church is alive, our families thrive. The decline of families and nations is closely related to the decline of the church. Let us experience the restoration of our souls through worship. And may we genuinely wish for Hansarang church, saints, and families to be filled with love for one another in God's grace.
