2:22 이스라엘 사람들아 이 말을 들으라 너희도 아는 바와 같이 하나님께서 나사렛 예수로 큰 권능과 기사와 표적을 너희 가운데서 베푸사 너희 앞에서 그를 증언하셨느니라

22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.

2:23 그가 하나님께서 정하신 뜻과 미리 아신 대로 내준 바 되었거늘 너희가 법 없는 자들의 손을 빌려 못 박아 죽였으나

23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.

2:24 하나님께서 그를 사망의 고통에서 풀어 살리셨으니 이는 그가 사망에 매여 있을 수 없었음이라

24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

2:25 다윗이 그를 가리켜 이르되 내가 항상 내 앞에 계신 주를 뵈었음이여 나로 요동하지 않게 하시 위하여 그가 내 우편에 계시도다

25 David said about him:

“‘I saw the Lord always before me.

Because he is at my right hand,

I will not be shaken.

2:26 그러므로 내 마음이 기뻐하였고 내 혀도 즐거워하였으며 육체도 희망에 거하리니

26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;

my body also will rest in hope,

2:27 이는 내 영혼을 음부에 버리지 아니하시며 주의 거룩한 자로 썩음을 당하지 않게 하실 것임이로다

27 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,

you will not let your holy one see decay.

2:28 주께서 생명의 길을 내게 보이셨으니 주 앞에서 내게 기쁨이 충만하게 하시리로다 하였으므로

28 You have made known to me the paths of life;

you will fill me with joy in your presence.’

2:29 형제들아 내가 조상 다윗에 대하여 담대히 말할 수 있노니 다윗이 죽어 장사되어 그 묘가 오늘까지 우리 중에 있도다

29 “Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.

2:30 그는 선지자라 하나님이 이미 맹세하사 그 자손 중에서 한 사람을 그 위에 앉게 하리라 하심을 알고

30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

2:31 미리 본 고로 그리스도의 부활을 말하되 그가 음부에 버림이 되지 않고 그의 육신이 썩음을 당하지 아니하시리라 하더니

31 Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay.

2:32 이 예수를 하나님이 살리신지라 우리가 다 이 일에 증인이로다

32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it.

2:33 하나님이 오른손으로 예수를 높이시매 그가 약속하신 성령을 아버지께 받아서 너희가 보고 듣는 이것을 부어 주셨느니라

33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.

2:34 다윗은 하늘에 올라가지 못하였으나 친히 말하여 이르되 주께서 내 주에게 말씀하시기를

34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,

“‘The Lord said to my Lord:

“Sit at my right hand

2:35 내가 네 원수로 네 발등상이 되게 하기까지 너는 내 우편에 앉아 있으라 하셨도다

35 until I make your enemies

a footstool for your feet.”’

2:36 그런즉 이스라엘 온 집은 확실히 알지니 너희가 십자가에 못 박은 이 예수를 하나님이 주와 그리스도가 되게 하셨느니라 하니라

36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

구원을 위해 불러야 할 그 이름이 바로 나사렛 예수이다(22)

베드로는 어제 본문에서 요엘 선지자의 말씀을 인용하여 누구든지 주의 이름을 부르는 자는 구원을 얻으리라(21) 선포했습니다. 그리고 오늘은 바로 나사렛 예수가 우리가 불러야 할 구원의 이름임을 증언합니다.

나사렛 예수는 바로 우리의 구세주 예수에 대한 당시 초대교회에서 통용되던 호칭입니다.

믿기 어렵겠지만 늘 보던, 그리고 곁에 있었던 목수 요셉의 아들로 나사렛 동네에서 함께 자란 그 예수가 우리가 구원을 얻기 위해 불러야 할 이름이라는 것입니다.

이에 대한 증거로 베드로는 다음 세가지를 제시합니다.

For salvation, the name that must be called is Jesus of Nazareth (22).

Peter proclaimed in yesterday's scripture, quoting the words of the prophet Joel, that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (21). And today, it testifies that Jesus of Nazareth is the name of salvation we should call upon. Jesus of Nazareth is the title commonly used for our Savior Jesus in the early Church at that time. It may be hard to believe, but it is the name of Jesus who grew up together with us in the village of Nazareth, the son of the carpenter Joseph whom we always saw and were with. This is the name we should call upon to obtain salvation. To support this, Peter presents three pieces of evidence.

첫째로 하나님이 기사와 권능으로 예수가 그리스도이심을 직접 증거하셨다는 것입니다(22~24).

공생에 기간에 행하신 많은 이적이 바로 그것입니다. 십자가에 죽으신 것 또한 하나님의 계획대로 진행된 것이고, 이는 죽음의 권세를 깨뜨리고 부활케 하시기 위함입니다.

둘째로 다윗이 성령에 감동하여 예수가 그리스도이심을 증거하였다는 사실입니다(25~31).

유대인들이 이름만 들어도 황홀하게 생각하는 인물이 모세와 다윗입니다.

그들은 선지자(30)입니다. 다윗은 성령으로 말미암아 미리 내다보고 예수의 부활을 예언했습니다.

마지막으로 사도들 자신이 증인입니다(32).

사도들은 3년 반동안 예수님과 동고동락하며 실제로 그의 죽으심과 부활의 사건을 목격했습니다.

이것은 부인할 수 없는 증거요 증인들입니다. 하나님과 다윗, 그리고 현재 사도들입니다.

First, God Himself testified directly through signs and wonders that Jesus is the Christ (22-24).

Many miracles were performed during His time on earth. His crucifixion was also carried out according to God's plan, in order to break the power of death and bring about resurrection. Second, David was moved by the Holy Spirit and testified to Jesus being the Christ (25-31).

Moses and David are figures that Jews highly regard. They are prophets (30). David, by the Holy Spirit, foresaw and prophesied the resurrection of Jesus. Lastly, the Apostles themselves are witnesses (32).

The apostles spent three and a half years with Jesus, witnessing His death and resurrection firsthand. They are undeniable evidence and witnesses—God, David, and the current Apostles.

그 나사렛 예수가 주와 그리스도이시다(36)

베드로는 그 나사렛 예수를 하나님 아버지께서 높이셨다고 말합니다(33).

사도 바울은 이에 대해서, 이렇게 증거합니다.

이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사 하늘에 있는 자들과 땅에 있는 자들과 땅 아래에 있는 자들로 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고 모든 입으로 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하여 하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨느니라

That Jesus of Nazareth is the Lord and the Christ (36).

Peter declares that God the Father exalted Jesus of Nazareth (33).

The apostle Paul testifies to this as follows:

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11 NIV)

이것을 소위 그리스도의 승귀(높아지심)라고 합니다.

하나님께서 부활하신 성자에게 모든 권한을 위임하신 것입니다. 예수님의 권위를 잘 표현한 것 중 하나가 바로 성령은 영원토록 아버지와 아들을 통하여 나오신다는 신학적 명제입니다.

동방 정교회에서는 성령께서는 성부로부터 발하신다로 고백하지만, 서방(로마)교회 전통에서는 성령께서는 성부와 성자로부터 발하신다고 고백합니다.

이러한 견해 차이를 소위 필리오퀘Filioque (그리고 아들로부터)논쟁이라 부릅니다.

결국 이 문구 하나로 동방교회와 서방교회가 분열하기 시작한 것입니다.

11세기 콘스탄티노플 회의를 끝으로 동방교회와 서방(로마)교회는 서로가 서로를 파문하는 교회의 대분열 The Great Schism이 일어납니다. 지금 복음주의 교회는 성부와 성자로부터 라는 교리를 믿고 따릅니다. 이것이 더 성경적인 견해라 생각합니다.

어쨌든 그리스도의 승귀가 이루어지려면 먼저 낮아지심, 즉 그리스도의 비하가 있어야 합니다.

그리스도의 비하는 인간의 육신을 입고 오신 것, 그리고 십자가에 죽으시고 무덤까지 가신 것 모두를 포함합니다. 이처럼 낮아짐, 곧 십자가가 없이는 높아짐, 곧 영광도 없습니다.

십자가 없이는, 왕관도 없습니다. No Cross, No Crown입니다.

This is commonly known as the exaltation of Christ.

God delegated all authority to the resurrected Son. One theological proposition that expresses the authority of Jesus well is that the Holy Spirit eternally proceeds from the Father and the Son. While the Eastern Orthodox Church confesses that the Spirit proceeds from the Father, the Western (Roman) tradition confesses that the Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son. This difference of opinion is known as the Filioque controversy. Ultimately, this phrase became one of the factors that led to the Great Schism between the Eastern and Western (Roman) churches after the Council of Constantinople in the 11th century. The Evangelical Church today believes and follows the doctrine of the Holy Spirit proceeding from the Father and the Son, which is considered a more biblical perspective. In any case, for the exaltation of Christ to occur, there must first be humiliation. Christ's humiliation includes His incarnation in human flesh, His death on the cross, and even His descent to the grave. Without humility, there can be no exaltation, and without the cross, there can be no crown. No Cross, No Crown.

베드로 설교의 하이라이트는 36절입니다.

너희가 십자가에 못 박은 이 예수(36b) 맞는 말이지만, 당사자들에게 말하는 것은 쉽지 않은 말입니다. 너희가 죽인 그 예수가 하나님이시고 구원자이시며, 또한 성령을 보내주신 분이라는 것입니다.

그는 진리를 말하고 있습니다. 또한 정확하게 죄를 지적하고 있습니다.

설교는 지치고 힘든 자들에게 위로를 주고 듣기 좋은 소리를 하는 것이 아닙니다.

진정한 위로와 평안은 마음에 찔림이 있은 후에 얻게 되는 것입니다.

간혹 오늘 설교는 나 들으라고 하셨죠? 말하는 사람들이 있습니다. 세상에서 제일 어리석은 질문이라고 생각합니다. 그렇다면 도대체 설교를 누구 들으라고 하겠습니까? 세상의 모든 설교는 나 들으라고 주시는 하나님의 말씀입니다. 이 사실을 깨닫는 자가 복 있는 사람입니다.

The highlight of Peter's sermon is verse 36.

It is true to say that Jesus, whom you crucified (36b), but it is not an easy thing to say to those responsible. He is saying that the Jesus whom you killed is God Himself, the Savior, and the One who sent the Holy Spirit. He is speaking the truth and accurately pointing out the sin. Preaching is not about giving comfort and pleasant words to the weary. True comfort and peace come after being pierced in the heart. Sometimes you hear people say, "was today's sermon about me?" I think it is the most foolish question. Then, who would the sermon be for? Every sermon in the world is God's word given to me to listen. Those who realize this fact are blessed.

유대인들은 진짜 축복을 받은 민족이라고 생각합니다.

그들은 하나님이 선택하신 민족임과 동시에 예수를 십자가에 못 박은 자들입니다.

무슨 의미인가요? 구원은 의로운 자가 받는 것이 아니라, 자신이 철저한 죄인임을 깨닫고, 회개하고 예수를 부르는 자가 얻는 은혜입니다. 그런데 유대인들은 부정할래야 부정할 수 없는 명확한 죄를 지었습니다. 우리는 나의 죄 때문에 죽으신 주님이라고 고백하지만, 마음 한 켠에는 직접적인 연관은 없다고 착각할 수 있습니다. 하지만 유대인들은 착각할 수가 없습니다. 실제로 그들이 예수를 죽였기 때문입니다. 그래서 축복입니다.

변화는 내가 예수를 죽인 죄인임을 알고 인정할 때 시작됩니다. 오늘 내가 누군가를 미워하고, 험담하고, 거짓말 한 죄 때문에 2천년 전에 예수가 십자가에서 죽으신 것입니다.

나 같은 죄인 살리신 Amazing Grace의 작사가인 죤 뉴턴은 본래 노예 상인이었다가 회심을 하고, 본격적으로 예수를 믿으면서 노예 해방에 앞장섰다고 합니다. 그는 나이 들어 눈이 보이지 않고, 기억이 희미해지는 가운데 죽음을 앞두고 다음과 같이 고백했습니다.

이것만은 똑똑히 기억합니다. 나는 죄인인 것과 예수는 그리스도시라는 사실입니다.

이것이 믿음입니다. 나는 죄인, 예수는 그리스도!

Jews consider themselves the truly blessed nation.

They are the chosen people of God and, at the same time, those who crucified Jesus.

What does this mean? Salvation is not received by the righteous but by those who realize they are absolute sinners, repent, and call upon Jesus. We confess that it is the Lord who died because of our sins, but in one corner of our hearts, we may mistakenly believe that there is no direct connection. However, Jews committed a clear sin that could not be denied. They actually killed Jesus. That is why they are blessed. Transformation begins when we acknowledge and confess that we are sinners who have crucified Jesus. It is because of my hatred, slander, and lies today that Jesus was crucified 2,000 years ago. John Newton, the author of "Amazing Grace," was originally a slave trader who repented and wholeheartedly believed in Jesus, taking the lead in the abolition of slavery. As he grew older and lost his sight and memory, he confessed the following:

“Although my memory's fading, I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.”

This is faith. I am a sinner, and Jesus is the Christ!
